Sure, it looks a little down-on-its-heels, but the rooms are immaculate. First time *ever* I get into a hotel room and NOT find someone else's hair in the tub. Comfortable beds, a minifridge and microwave, cable, dead-square between the freeway and A2, everything just completely filled our needs for an amazing price. And I love that they really do the... more

It was dirty, dilapidated, disgusting. I had reservations for four nights and couldn't wait to get out after one. The location is not worth having the unpleasant night. It started with the vertical blind falling down, went on to the filth, and lack of care that abounded. more

We stayed here during a home renovation for a total of seven nights. For the price, this place is amazing. Other hotels in the area may have more amenities, but were 3 times the price. For our purposes, it just wasn't practical to stay anywhere else. Our room had two comfortable beds (okay, a little squishy), a t.v. that worked... more

This was a decent place to stay for the money. Cheap AND decent don't generally go hand in hand but that was the exception for this place. The furnishings/decor reminded me of a grandparent's home minus the doilies and hand-knitted throws. Modest, outdated, but clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast followed suit with it's surroundings - not much in the... more

Sure, it's the cheapest place to stay in Ann Arbor. And yes, the rooms are livable. But this place has seen better days. The rooms are very worn, the "free wireless internet" only works in the lobby (when I called the desk, the attendant said, "Yeah, we've had problems with that for a long time."), and the "continental breakfast" consists... more

The Lamp Post Inn offers a fresh, clean, attractive, comfortable room with a fridge and microwave. It's 2 miles from the freeway, and downtown is 5 minutes away. The staff is friendly and helpful. I happily spend the $50- $100 I save on the delightful dining and shopping in Ann Arbor. The continental breakfast is bland, but we enjoy the... more

I met my girlfriends in Ann Arbor for a "girl's weekend." We are all on a budget and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel room, especially since we weren't going to be spending a lot of time there. The room was clean and it smelled great. The refrigerator was a nice perk. The staff was... more

The Inn is located about a ten-minute drive from downtown Ann Arbor and is a good place to stay if you're on a limited budget and really just need a place to sleep for the night. Free wireless is a plus, and the bed was quite comfortable. Friendly staff, as well. The continental breakfast was really nothing to write home... more

Super friendly staff - especially blond gal at night. She was very helpful. The rooms are okay, but for the price a bargain. I met the young housekeeper and she was also friendly and nice. I would recommend this as a nice family run place to stay, but not much frills. more

I read several of the reviews and wasn't really sure but a friend of mine told me they always stayed there. I met her in Ann Arbor last month while interviewing at the University of Michigan hospital and was very pleased. The room was large, clean and certainly a bargain. I would gladly stay here again. Great staff. more
