This was our 7th year of staying at Saravilla over the Memorial Day Week-end for the Alma Highland Festival. Linda and John go far out of their way to make guests feel comfortable in their beautiful Victorian home. The history of the house is, in itself, worth a visit. Every room is beautifully decorated. The breakfasts made by Linda are... more

We really enjoyed this home. It is huge and beautiful. Exceptionally clean. The food was excellent! Many amenities were offered and we enjoyed the guest kitchen, billiard room and library. The owners are very nice people who we enjoyed conversing with over breakfast. Lots of history at this home. more

This was our first time getting away for Valentine's Day and we loved it. We had our own fireplace and master bath with a whirlpool tub for two. There was an open kitchen for us provided with popcorn, hot cocoa, tea, and pop. There was a the old pocket pool table to play and that was alot of fun. They... more

I arrived really late and was greeted by a guy in a good mood. That set the tone for the rest of my stay. I felt at home and totally at ease in a very comfortable room. Breakfast was very good and the hospitality was even better. Lots of good stories about a very interesting property. Lots of common area... more

I arrived at 11 pm and was greeted by a smiling face. I felt wlecome from the moment I arrived. The room was large, the breakfast was plentiful, and the internet was free. They made me feel at home and that's all I really want. more

Jon and Linda have laboured for many years to restore this amazing building. Now they labour to maintain it. A treasure of architecture and history. A very special bed and breakfast. Highly recommended. Mary Simpson Pure Stock Muscle Care Drag Race weekend in Stanton MI, second weekend in September 2008 more

The Saravilla continues to be a favorite place for us to stay! This is 3rd visit and all have been excellent. Jon and Linda take care of every detail and the historic home provides a lasting impression of classic architecture. The home is large, yet intimate. Rooms are very large and well maintained. Breakfast is served in the dining area... more

My three sisters and I stayed for a week at Saravilla in Alma. We had never been to Michigan before. The rooms were well appointed and very private. The decor is in tune with the "grand old house" feel of the place. Our hosts were more than wellcoming, really helpful and charming, without being intrusive. The daily breakfast is varied... more

My wife and I stayed over the labor day weekend. The breakfast was top notch, and Linda offered everyone extra bagels if desired. We asked for coffee early no problem. The house is so beautiful, loved the hot tub that is in an enclosed area, it really hit the spot. Our room, the highland room, was huge, as was the... more
