Okay, in all fairness, the lady at check in was very nice, & the room was made up when we returned Saturday evening, PLUS it's right across the street from a Krispy Kreme.

A friend had made reservations, requesting a king-sized bed as both of us are tall. Upon check in, the lady was kind enough to inform us that the A/C had not yet been turned on in the old wing, but she could put us in the new wing in a room with two double beds. That was not an option, so we agreed to take the room with the larger bed. With the nights still cool, the lack of A/C was not an issue, HOWEVER...
as soon as we entered the room... well, if I had it to do all over again, I would have checked out immediately. The lighting was poor. The bathtub had exactly one no-slip strip in it, located on the far side of the tub. the water was hard to turn on because if the handle wasn't cranked down hard, the faucet dripped.
