This hotel is an old charming family mansion. The furnitures is very nice. Ask for room 20 or 21, you´ll get the best rooms and the best views of the roofs of sucre. Our spacious room, # 18, had a wonderful view of the tops of two churches, La Merced & San Felipe Neri. The willing staff was very helpful as we were in Sucre during an emergency with street violence protesting Morales government's attempt to write a new constitution. Over the weekend we were there, three men were killed during the confusion.... more

Spent several days here in mid September 2007. Very reluctant to leave - in fact I extended my time in Sucre because of this hotel. It is extraordinarily reasonable for the quality - even allowing for Bolivia to be cheaper than most South American countries. I paid $30 (US) for a single room on the terrace.
