I stayed here for a week while studying Spanish. It's a small hotel, with about 20 rooms (I believe). I was in awe at how pretty it is. There are several patios, including rooftop, which puts you at the same level as the church spires nearby. Wifi was good, and everyone there was very nice. One of the prettiest hotels... More

Hostal de su Merced is located a few blocks from the main square and many restaurant options are nearby. It is super clean with great, friendly service and a variety of rooms varying from large to small, high or low and light and dark. Rooms on the top floor have great views and are worth the extra rate. Good but... More

I've been there in December 2013 for a few days. My employer booked a room for me on the second patio. Great view over the rooftops of Sucre! Beautiful patio! I suppose Hostal de Su Merced must be really successful because they know how to connect an extravagant-colonial style (including my room) with a warm and familiar atmosphere. The staff... More

Warm and welcoming staff in what is a very attractive hotel with its internal courtyard, climbing roses, roof terrace etc. The food was good, although one beef and sausage dish served as a lunch to my group was horrible and made a few of us ill. This is the only blip. Comfortable, spacious rooms, good breakfasts, a good luadry service.... More

We arrived in Sucre by road from Potosi (May 2013) in a day of a general strike where all accesses to Sucre were blocked...(by truck drivers). It took our driver from Potosi to make wonders to get us to El Hostal de Su Merced. Our road odyssey was compensated by an extreme great welcome and appointing us, I guess, to... More

We arrived in Sucre by plane and once arrived we found out that all the roads leading to the city have been blocked off by truck drivers. This is a lovely tranquil hostel hidden behind an unimpressive frontage which belies its spacious interior. Everything possible is done to ensure the comfort of the guests and even the mini bar prices were reasonable.
