We stayed there for 3 nights. The rooms are not great but not bad either (there are mostly shared bathrooms). However, they are all located on a central patio (closed on the roof) and can be thus very very noisy. You better have to be in a top floor. Furthermore, the staff is really unpleasant. I would not recommend to... More

Its clean and the staff are nice but nothing can redeem it when its minus 5 outside and no warmer in your room. Wifis pretty bad too. If it cold in Patosi when you arrive pay mor for somewhere with a heater, its really neccessary.

Not as good as reported by the Lonely Planet but decently priced and located. Smallish rooms and the patio can be noisy. Good enough for a couple of nights but nothing to call home about. Next time we go to Potosi, we'll look for other options.

Our room was smelly and old. It had molds in the walls. We were there in February and it was so cold inside the room! WiFi did not work very well. Breakfast was poor. It has a good location, however. But if I go back to Potosi, I will look for another option.

Very nice hostel. Feels more like a hotel. Had the best shower. The rooms are a bit cold but has lots of blankets. Terrible breakfast. Yesterdays bread with a bit of marmelade. Great location. Good value.

Very good location. It seems to be very nice, good furniture, it seems an hotel! But....one day without water, service very bad, breakfast very poor, they asked us money for the towels!!! They told us there was wifi but it did not go well, sometimes it did not go at all! Avoid it!

Quiet, excellent indoor atmosphere, free breakfast (bread, jam and a hot drink), access to the kitchen, clean bathrooms, very comfortable beds. I only wish the brewpub downstairs hadn't been closed over New Year's week!

I stayed in Potosi and hostel Carlos V for one night. I got a doubleroom for the single price. The stuff was always very helpful. The hostal is close to the main plaza. Free interent wifi and a tv room with dvdplayer and a couple of films. Rooms and bathroom was very clean. Liked it there. Also a nice roof... More

Stayed in a spacious twin room with shared bathroom on the top floor. There were only a handful of guest in the place. The bathroom was clean and modern but the light wasn't working. The lounge had a large flat screen tv with surround sound. The computer/dining/kitchen area was functional and airy on the mezzanine level. The suites looked really... More

Great location and excellent value for money. Our room was clean - it was cold but there was plenty of bedding. The bathroom however, was very cramped with the shower over the loo. The staff were friendly but didn't speak English or know much about busses to La Paz. The bread at breakfast was fresh from the bakery next door.... More
