The best place to stay in Potosi. Clean, 24 hs.hot showers, good breakfast and warm beds. 100% Social. Nice place to relax, charge batteries and move on. People in charge will answer any of your questions. You couldn't ask for more.

After arriving from Uyuni, this hostel was like heaven. Breakfast includes fruit and scrambled eggs. The cleaning lady was very nice and answered any questions. Hot showers, laundry service, book exchange, and good location. The hostel is big and great to meet other travelers but it's not a party hostel. Internet was bad, that would be the only negative.

There are two separate buildings to Koala Den - practically over the road from each other. I stayed in what I assume is the main building on calle Junin, though the other one looked a bit airier/ nicer when I stuck my head in. I stayed in the dorm (3 bunkbeds packed in close). It's right next to the communal... More

Its hard to find a nice hostel in Potosi fo a reasonable price. Thats clear to me know. The bathroomdoor was clapping from the wind all night and very dirty. Saying something about the dirty bathroom I got a big mouth and still no cleaning. Towels are not included in the rooms with shared bathroom. One possitive thing, there is... More

We stayed in Koala den for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Since the moment you arrive, the staff is very welcoming and friendly (an amazing family) they were really talkative and gave us good advices on stuff to do in Potosi, places to eat, and so on! What I personally loved the most, was their honesty :) they always... More

This hostel is located about 5-10 minutes walk away from Potosi's central square so it's not too noisy but is still close to the shops and restaurants. Staff were quite nice, and I booked the the mine tour through them which was very interesting (though slightly more expensive than if you shop around and find a tour yourself). Rooms and... More

This is a nice place to stay, well located, room a little too small for so many beds, but the matress was really good... They have a nice kitchen, a good breakfeast (lots of fruits) and a nice common area. Internet wasn´t working fine when I was there. Great heating in the room...Potosi is really cold at night so I... We stayed in the Koala Den twice during our travels through Bolivia and really liked the place. The facilities our pretty basic, but that fact is made up for by the very friendly and warm staff that really made us feel welcome (which is certainly not always the case in Bolivia). When we stayed there they had a box full... More

This hostel was alright, but certainly not the best during my trip. The location is a bit weird... I felt kind of unsafe wandering around the backstreets in search of this hostel. It´s not a street where I wanted to be as a girl alone after sunset. However, the people working here are super nice. The rooms were tiny and... More

The hostel was nice, clean with hot showers and heating at night. The breakfast was good, scrambled eggs and the woman giving it was very kind. We also booked a minetour through them. Unfortunately it was on a Sunday so there wouldnt be as many workers in the mine (but they warned us in the beginning). Because of the time... More
