The koala den had by far the best breakfast of my travels through bolivia. Served with charm and humor the hostal has a really homey feel and the common areas are maintained to encourage social interaction. The shower is great but unfortunately there is only one bathroom for the dorm area and you can hear a pin drop at night... More

Following a friend's recommendation we turned up at Koala Den where we were instantly made to feel welcome and knew we had chosen well. Everything was very clean. The rooms all have heaters which makes such a difference at that altitude, and some had TVs too. The beds were so comfy with clean linen and big thick duvets and blankets.... More

we stayed in the room on the top floor which was cold and the beds were really close to each other. Besides the room the hostel is really nice, great breakfast, great service, lots of books and games and fast computers. Its not the cheapest option in potosi but its nice.

This hostel is located about five minutes from the main square in Potosi. We had a four bed dorm with private bathroom. Breakfast: One of the best at hostels we stayed at in Bolivia. Fresh bread, fruit, fruit juice, eggs and pancakes. All plentiful and all fresh, it was really good. Room: Nice comfortable bed, and a hot and powerful... More

The good things were the breakfast, hot water in the shower and the kittens. All the rest were pretty bad. The double room with the private bathroom was 180 bolivianos, way overpriced for what you get. The room was very small, the only window it has came out to the inside of the hotel, so the room was incredibly stuffy... More

Nice hostel in a good location in Central Potosi. The breakfast is the star of the show really, and the lovely guys who run this place. Pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit, coffee and fresh orange juice, must be the best breakfast in Bolivia?? The older couple(?) who run this place are really funny, very helpful with organising tours, bus times etc.... More

This is one of few hostels in potosi complete with a kitchen and social areas. At 60 for a dorm we felt it was very expensive for bolivia. It is fairly run down, smelly and not so clean. But kitchen is well equipped, there is a heater in the room, computers available and a decent breakfast.

Couldn't find any fault with this place. Breakfast is included in the price and is by far one of the nicer breakfasts I've had while travelling. Shower was excellent. The Señora of the house is great fun and always seemed to be laughing. Highly recommended.

The hostel is just fine. It's located near city center. You can easily walk to the center and beyond. The owners and staff are nice and helpful. It looks clean everywhere. In the morning you'll get some coffee/tea, fruit juice, eggs, bread qnd fruit. Plenty of food. The rooms are fine too. I had a private bathroom to the dorm.... More

Beds were comfortable, rooms were quiet and bathrooms always clean. Well equipped kitchen and awesome common area. WiFi worked great. Located on a backstreet a short stroll from the centre of town. Book a mine tour through the hostel, it was amazing! Breakfast was excellent, heaps of fresh fruit. Staff were very helpful and hilarious, made everyone feel very welcome.
