The hostel is pretty cool inside and set in a good location. The double ensuite room was slightly outdated, but clean and everything we wanted after a 3 day Uyuni trip. What was really good about this hostel was its solid breakfast! Coffee, tea or hot chocolate, scrambled egg and pancake, bread and marmalade and fresh fruit. Yummy!

We stayed here one night to do the mine your then left for La Paz at night. There was plenty of information on buses / tours - albeit a little misunderstanding sometimes with the language barrier. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was great and the rooms were clean. We were also able to store our luggage and use the... More

Stayed two days! Breakfast is the best part. Wifi was decent. Nice hot shower! Beds have many blankets to keep warm. Don't expect the heater. The mine tour booked through them was good too. They don't seem to speak much English here but it's fine you work it out.

This breakfast was awesome!!! The lady running this place is hilarious and really looks after her people. Make sure you get there early though because sometimes the good fruit runs out! Nice kitchen, rooms with heaters, all in all it was a good stay. A bit pricey for bolivia but worth it for a night or two!

I just stayed one night in Potosi but I was glad to have found this hostel : the rooms are basic but the beds are comfy and they turn the heating system on in the evening which is a big plus given the altitude and the cold!! The breakfast is very good too and the staff was very helpful when... More

Stayed for a night to do the mine tour and visit the Casa de Moneda in Potosi. I arrived from Sucre around midday and paid 50Bs for a bed in a 6-bed dorm (bunk beds). The hostel is in an old building and the room was a bit cramped, but it was comfortable enough, and each bed had a corresponding... More

Room &bathroom was clean, beds were OK. Nights were a bit hard to sleep as the curtains are not making the room dark enough. But the next morning we were soo suprised about the breakfast! This hostel is really taking care of you in the morning: Chocolate, tea or coffee, butter, jam, a lot of fresh fruit, eggs AND even pancakes.... More

We arrived at 11:00pm and tried to call ahead to warn them but there was no answer. The man was furious with us even though it states they have a 24 hour check in. He didn't even give us our key for our room. If this guy doesn't like people he's in the wrong line of work. The breakfast we... More

I stayed in Potosi for one night to do the mine tour on my way to Sucre. The Koala Den Hostal was a great place to stay. Wifi worked well, hot showers, and a nice living room with photo books and guides about the history of Potosi and the mining industry. The breakfast was one of the best I´ve had... More

Pros: breakfast is above average, they have there own mine tours which were pretty well, friendly service, wifi works, large beds Cons: hostel in bad condition (a lot is broken or fixed poorly), room smelled bad (probably smoke), heater wasn't working, towels were smelling too, wifi is turned off over night
