If you can avoid this place - then do it. It's overpriced for the standard of room that you get. The room we got was cold, dusty and could have done with a major spring clean. Breakfast was terrible - stale bread and you have the option of getting eggs cooked the way you like. Be warned, it's just the... More

We stayed here as part of the Tucan Tour. The town is a dusty forgotten place - which actually was quite charming. We were only there for 2 nights, which was enough really. The room was fine and fairly big, bed was a bit uncomfortable - but it did the job. The rooms have large windows [curtains can be pulled... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. Central, clean and suited for needs. Internet is v slow but that's Bolivia for you. Breakfast ok (traditional bread and jam) but do cook fresh eggs. No complaints.

Not sure why the guidebooks recommend this place and why they include misinformation about the price and facilities...but anyway. A room cost me 150 bolivianos, the room had burnt out light bulbs and was dark and dismal. It did have hot water. The wifi did not work. They had used books you could "exchange" for 10 bolivianos or you could... More

Stayed here as part of a tour. The hotel is central and close walking distance to the shops, markets and sights of central Potosi. The room was okay, comfortable and clean - and it had a heater. After having just stayed on the salt flats where it had been minus 20 degrees at night this was a bonus. Bathroom was... More

The title says it all. A definite miss in terms of places you should stay. This should not bs HI endorsed, this surprises me. A very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay.

I'm only writing this review as I dont want the same thing that happened to us to happen to others. The hotel itself was fine - ok room, reasonable location, lovely central courtyard. However .... a considerable amount of our cash went missing from the hotel security deposit box. USD 190 to be exact. Not really a small amount. Travellers... More

Location: within 5-10 minutes of almost all major sights in Potosi, right near Internet cafes, small shops, etc. Hotel staff: friendly, helpful, several speak pretty good English. Rooms: a little dingy (think a few cracks in the wall, a worn-looking bathroom) but definitely acceptable by Bolivian standards. Rooms have gas wall heaters, so you won't be freezing at night in... Avoid this hotel at all costs. I stayed in this hotel as part of a large group, and my tour leader warned me that previously people have had things stolen from the rooms (ipods, even tshirts!), and it is safer to leave everything in the safety deposit boxes. However, when my tour leader removed his money from the safety deposit... More

It wasn't the best hotel, but I didn't find it as bad as the reviews - the toilet door wouldn't shut, and the room was fairly dark, but we had an ok night's sleep - the staff were helpful, but couldn't speak any English (yes, I know we were in a Spanish-speaking country, but it would appear all the main...
