The plus point of this hotel is, that you have all near by access point be it a metro or a bus travel or abra travel, and window shopping as well and of course, to spend a good night life of dubai after the tiring working day. You can enjoy every thing staying in this hotel.

my first time at this hotel was great....you hardly see the staff because everything is on place and working so there is no need to be contacting the concierge or guest services. for the new visitor, don't expect too much space on elevators or fancy anything...it's an old building well maintained, good for the buck and most downtown attractions are... Moderately priced. The drain in the bath kept overflowing. We reported it 3 time and they could not repair it. Wifi access very expensive. Breakfast average (very small variety). No parking in front of the hotel so taxi has to drop you off on main road 50 yds away and we ended up carrying our luggage to the hotel. Meena... More

I stayed in this hotel in March 2011 and was fairly dissappointed, namely because the rooms especially were jaded, old and tired and the bathroom had mould and could have been cleaned better, our group had lunch on arrival which was not very good at all and since I never ever saw anyone eating breakfast there I followed suit and... This hotel thrives more on business aquired through tie-ups with travel agents. The property is very old and thus not VFM. breakfast choices are very limited and strictly ok. For the price you pay for this hotel, you can get much better and newer properties. had travelled in april 2012. The location (from an Indian tourist point of view) is... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
