This was our second accommodation in Dubai after arriving on an overnight flight and spending the first two nights in the desert (Bab Al Shams). XVA Art hotel is a little tricky to find the first time but well worth it. Get the taxi to drop you off just past the roundabout and it's a 90 second walk. In terms... More

Not wanting to stay in high rise hotel in new Dubai, we opted to try a more traditional/cultural style of accommodation in the older section of town and loved it. Our room was charming, tucked away upstairs with views of the wind tunnels from our verandah. The staff were most helpful and friendly, we had a beautiful breakfast in the... More

If you are tired of highrises and almost similar enviriorement, you may choose an old stile, but same basic luxiry (air condition and nice bathroom) hotel room at XVA by forgetting TV. You will be touching real ground staff and will be next to crec.

First off, I typically don't care too much for Dubai. We had to go for a weekend and didn't want to stay in the Marina area (touristy, superficial, soulless, no character, arrogant culture, I could go on). This was a most welcome retreat. The location is in the old part of town but it is a bit removed from, like... More

How nice to be an actual guest instead of a room number and feel like you are actually in Dubai not staying in a huge glitzy hotel that could be anywhere in the world. The staff are happy to help with ideas of where to go and the metro is only a 10 min walk and really easy to use.... More

Excellent service and overall fantastic experience. We arrived at 6am in the morning and the hotel manager went out of his way to check us in early. Most appreciated after a 18 hour trip from New Zealand. Food was also exceptional. Definitely recommended. Hilton and Janine New Zealand

Dubai is such an affluent city with lots of hotel choices to stay, but if you want to have experience of living in a true Dubai or Arabic house, this hotel will be your first choice. The room, toilets, facilities and breakfast were nice, the air-con was a bit noisy though. There were no TV in my room but it... More

If you want to see a different Dubai for a very reasonable price, I really recommend this option. You’ll be near Dubai´s creek, the souk and a real neighborhood not only for rich and malls. Rooms are not big but are good bead and big bathroom, aircon is a bit noisy- For breakfast we had the best pancake ever in... More

Spent one night in this hotel. Arrived very late in the night, reception was very helpful. The room was traditionally decorated and the bed was comfortable, slept like a baby. The morning brought a hearty breakfast, in a covered interior terrace, served by smiling and funny staff. I liked very much the idea of covered terrace- gives you the feeling... More

Stayed here for one night in June. It's in the old part of Dubai which is a nice relief from the artificial feel of the city centre. A ten minute walk to the metro & a few stops into the centre or a cheap taxi ride away. The hotel, like the rest of the city is a contrast: traditional architecture... More
