Even though it's an older hotel, we very much enjoyed the Arabian Courtyard Hotel because of its fabulous location near the river in the old part of Dubai known as Bur Dubai. It's located directly opposite the Dubai Museum and a five-minute walk to the river. It's here that you can catch one of the traditional dhows and be across... More

Spotless, helpful staff, comfortable beds, and thick drapes to keep out the bright Arabian sun. I enjoyed being close to Dubai Musem, and the river, with its array of water taxis, water buses, dhows, and ships. The historic areas of Dubai (and they are few!) are close by, as are interesting galleries, the gold and textile souks, and much else... More

Good quality hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and worth getting seated early for best window seats. Hotel overlooks Dubai Museum and best rooms face the museum and would recommend highest level possible. We had requested room at high level but were initially given room one floor above breakfast room, this then changed to room on 4th floor, much... More

Staff, location, facilities and housekeeping all of the highest order. This is the third time which I have stayed at the Arabian Courtyard in the past two years. On the previous two occasions I was accompanied by my wife who also enjoyed the experience. We will most certainly return for another birthday/anniversary celebration in the near future.

This hotel is located across the street from Dubai Museum, fantastic, very convenient location. Everything else, service, buffet was also quite good. For the location alone I'd give this hotel whole 6 stars, but I have to take away points because we had roaches in the room, and we were very concerned about bringing these critters back home in our... Upgraded to Executive room located on the 7th floor with extra payment of AED 300 per night which we think it was bit stiff. The room had view if Dubai Museum. The room rate included breakfast, free access to the exclusive Executive Lounge serving all day tea/coffee & refreshments. During Happy Hours; offering complimentary selection of canapés complimenting with aperitifs... More

I arrived 8 nights ago for what was supposed to be a one night stay - and I stayed! I really really like this hotel, the people are very nice and helpful. It is right across from the Dubai Museum (fascinating), and also right near the "Big Bus" tour stop. It's right in the middle of a bustling area, so... More

This hotel is one of my favourites in Dubai - the level of service the staff provide is exceptional. Imran Syed, Yameen, Prince, Manhooj, All the reception, breakfast bar and housekeeping staff are the best and would do whatever they can to help you and make you feel comfortable. A special thank you to Imran Syed to going beyond guest... More

Large spacious rooms thought the bathrooms could do with an update. The staff & the resturants are 1st class. Situated in the old part of Dubai & away from all the high rise hotels is the perfect place to stay.

We stayed at the Arabian Courtyard for only 2 nights but found the location and the staff excellent. It is across from the Dubai Museum, close to Dubai Creek and within a 10 minute walk of the Metro. The area is bustling with souks and has plenty of dining options. The hotel itself is older but comfortable. We chose an... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
