I booked the hotel through booking.com, it was a surprise holiday for my wife's birthday. When booking I mentioned this and requested for a nice room with a view and mentioned we will arrive at 11 am 3 hours earlier than our checking time. I was absolutely thrilled when we arrived that the manager Mr Muhummed Imran who was an... More

I had booked a room via expediA, I arrived here at the hotel at 330pm but my room is not yet ready, I had to wait in the lobby for more than an hour and am still waiting...Quite a bad start to my vacation. -- borthakur

This hotel, like the surrounding neighborhood, stands in stark contrast to the image of Dubai portrayed by most tourist media. It is the antithesis of glitz, oozing character and charm. The staff is warm and friendly, the food very good, and the rooms clean and serviceable. We stayed three nights and spent most of our days in the old souks and... More

My second time I've stayed at the, Arabian Courtyard Hotel. The spa is indulgent and satisfying. Downstairs you can book touristy things to do, and staff assist in getting you in a taxi. Staff are friendly. Loads of shops nearby.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, on a stop over to Thailand. This hotel came recommended by friends, and we were not disappointed. We were given a free upgrade, and our room was fantastic, overlooking the museum. The breakfast was very good, and in the evening we ate in the Sherlock homes bar, which again served excellent... Very swift checkin on the front desk, the hotel has all you need under one roof, the staff had a warm personality and are always active to help promptly. The rooms allocated to me were all functional and impressively clean. The pool and spa area are fairly priced. The food is finger licking in all the restaurants. All staff were... More

Arrived around 8 pm and my bags were taken up to my room . Staff are very helpful and friendly , which makes up for the fact the hotel decor is a bit jaded and tired . I was in room 314 overlooking the museum which was huge , no problems with the size . Bed was comfortable and plenty... More

We were unfortunately only at the hotel for two nights and one full day so did not have a chance to really explore the area or use the spa facilities. It's about 20 minutes from the airport and there are several sites within walking distance. Cab or metro will get you to many of the other sites. The staff was... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
