Overall a nice hotel, theme was very arabian and nicely designed. Staff were ok, pizza place located on the ground floor... not so great Breakfast was good, placed nicely and hospitable. Location of the hotel was very busy, nearby mosque as well as a supermarket, pharmacy, gift shops and many others a few steps away. Dubai museum located right in... More

This is hotel is nice. The sitting area remind you of a hookah lounge. You can buy your tourist attractions right there. It can get a little pricey for the media useage. So print your tickets and do minimum web searching. They have a nice spa inside. Fruit for you to eat each morning. You are right accross the street... More

Stayed here for my honeymoon and it was amazing. The hotel is interesting fusing both old and modern. Staff extremely professional can't fault my stay at all just wish I could afford to go back. Location you couldn't find a better place close to everything including the Dubai museum which was great itself highly recommended.

This is great place to stay in Dubai - sort of modern but with an old fashioned charm. Very conveniently located only a short walk from the waterfront in an historic area near the Museum and a large mosque. Plenty of restaurants are not far away. The Big Bus stop is across the road and several souks just a short... More

The location of this hotel is perfect, closest to all the markets one could want to visit. Free wifi in the room was a bonus. Right opposite the Dubai museum and easy walk to the souks and the river. The rooms are large and elegant with amazing furniture and big huge windows. Perfectly hosted hotel with genuinely friendly and helpful... More

This hotel is a great choice especially for a short stop over as it's close to the airport and in a really interesting and beautiful area of the city. I loved the lifts and decorations! The rooms were clean and so was the hotel, staff were helpful. We only stayed one night but nothing I could fault with the place.

We stayed here as a break in our travels from NZ to Europe. The hotel is traditional Persian style and located in the old part of Dubai. It is within a walk to the Creek, and a number of the souks. The Dubai museum is right across the road and worth a visit. You can also hop on 1 of... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
