Staying on a budget in Dubai. This hotel is in Bur Dubai. It is clean, well run and good value, well below the price of comparable hotels. Good free wifi. Rooms are not in the first flush of youth, but are clean and everything works. Tea making facilities as standard. The location is good for metro and plenty of taxises.... More

We stayed for 6 nights from 9 to 15 January. Pros.. Location. Heart of city. Economy, breakfast is complementary, and no hidden cost. Nearest attraction s: gold souk, Dubai museum , meena bazaar. Cons .. No taxi booking is done at reception, nearest metro AL fahidi takes 6-7 minutes walk and small sized rooms, swimming pool is under maintenance. But... More

I paid AUD140 for one night. I got a small, clean, but ageing room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included. It was a buffet which had a reasonable choice of items, but not first class quality - food was luke warm, coffee was Nescafe. Staff were always helpful and there is a desk for the HOHO bus in the... I have to see the manager of the hotel to get the room cleaned. Don't stay if you want clean room . Staff is not sufficient even as per management of hotel. Room cleaning is almost absent and is done like a formality. Staff does not know what to do. Always seen guests having fight with front desk person. Very... More

The ADMIRAL PLAZA Hotel, seems to be a family Hotel. I had a standard room, which was a little bit small. But good and normal for a 3*** hotel. All needed amenties were available. The breakfast is good. And there is a free shuttle bus to the Airport of Dubai. For shopping at Meena Bazaar is this hotel the right... More

Center of city. Good connectivity. Good staff. Rooms are tiny. No View. Breakfast 7/10. Nearby areas are with small shops. Gold Suk is nearby. I had not compared nearby hotels. But looked good for money.

A bit skeptical after reading the mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, but I found the hotel was quite satisfactory, it has all the amenities you need, from a kettle to hairdryer. The room was clean and the service was good, when I had some leakage problem in the bathroom, it was attended promptly. Another good thing to mention is that they... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
