After carefully checking out all the many 5 stars hotels in Dubai, which are located by the sea, I picked the Royal Meridien, because of all the "greenery" that surrounds the two buildings. Little did I know that every one and everything measured up not only to my expectations, but it was "above and beyond" the five stars. Jasmine at... More

Superb stay all in all. The breakfast is plentiful but can get very busy. It can get very hot outside so it's easy to just jump in a taxi just outside the hotel and shoot off somewhere! The restaurants in the hotel are also superb, one being the Gary Rhodes Restaurant. All in all a great stay.

Recently stayed at LRM 16-23 May and had a relaxing time. All the staff could not be more helpful and polite during our stay in particularly one of the managers Hussain. We were upgraded to the tower and had a beautiful room over looking the beach and enjoyed the lounge facilities. Highly recommend this hotel!

We paid a return visit to Le Royal Meridien after a gap of about four years. We enjoyed our stay and it was fine for a weekend away but I'm not sure I'd return any time soon, or that I would recommend it for a longer visit. Booking: Online booking was a little frustrating. We were a couple travelling with... More

Lots of open space. Plenty of pools to choose from (3 or 4) so didn't get the feeling of overcrowded. We went in the Easter holidays and I had no trouble getting beds right by the pool every day so I could keep an eye on the children. Had room 326 which is a deluxe family room in the main... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
