Cons: Rules about the stay are never mentioned in any brochure. Reception staff though cordial lag absolute hotel etiquettes. Long wait before you actually get a room after check-in, as rooms are always under maintenance. Substandard room arrangement and maintenance. Leaking roofs(due never maintained a/c ducts and stinking surroundings) Restaurant serves the same breakfast alternately throughout the year. Visitors get... More

We were staying in Lotus for seven days. We came into hotel around 2 a.m. The staff was very rude and we had to wait until 5 a.m. so that we can pay 160€ more (for one more night, so that we dont wait until 2 p.m) to get into the room. But the receptionist didnt say to us that... More

Pleasant staff but dirty old furniture, no ironing board, a replacement old rusty iron which don't work, nor do replacements. Dirty tired carpets. Dirty furnishings. In severe need of a good hotel manager. In severe need of an entire refurbishment. Noisy carpetless corridors. Sticky, nasty room surfaces. I stayed for 100 dirhams more cheaply at the divine Westin, Abu Dhabi.... More

Situated at the quieter end of the Marina this hotel afforded a pleasant one week stay in Dubai. My accommodation, a one bedroom apartment overlooking the Marina was comfortable, clean and possessed all necessary utilities such as washer, dryer. The apartment would be suitable for a couple with children on the sofa bed. The hotel does not attempt to compete... More

Bought 4 vouchers for the AED 49,- Buffet including Sushi. One single plate of sushi with 2 sushi variations hardly qualifies as buffet but overall the buffet was quite ok for the price. And the panoramic view of the Marina is great at night. If you're not staying at the Marina, take the metro and exit at Lake Towers or... More

Arrived at this hotel this morning 12th April 2015,at 7am after a long flight from Hong Kong, only to be met with this most pathetic reception staff who acted as if we needed a favour to be checked in whilst our accommodation had be paid for in full 2 weeks prior to arrival. Having no other option because of luggage... More

It was the added attraction to my Dubai Trip. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment , with all the amenities provided. The best part was the view from our windows , of the Marina. it is spectacular. Close to the beach and all the high ended hotels , a pleasant walk around the marina was very soothing. I cant still... More

Excellent value for money; great views over Marina, lovely pool, easy walk to Metro/tram and Marina restaurants. Supermarket over the road very well equipped. Apartments cleaned daily to a high standard. This is not 5* luxury but you are not paying 5* prices! Be careful of the hotel trying to sell you deals/trips; we found better value booking direct eg.... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
