Why would anyone purposefully choose a location that is neither Palm, nor beach, nor downtown, nor Marina - nor anything of any interest or merit really! Stayed here for just over a week in December 2014. The apartments are good - spacious, clean, reasonably well equipped. But the location is poor - you are only just on The Palm and... More

I was slightly concerned after reading some of the reviews about the Royal on the Palm but need not have worried. I am with Diamond Resorts and booked it as an exchange for points. The one bedroom room apartment was very spacious for the 4 of us, hugh lounge with double sofa bed, good size bedroom and a small walk... More

We are just coming to the end of a holiday at the Royal Club. We ( myself, husband , 15 yr old and 6 year old) stayed in building 12 in a 2 bed apartment. The Royal Club is actually part of the Shoreline Apartments which was not made clear by the 3rd party through which we booked. This meant that... More

good location, but the apartments are drab and the management could care less! no shuttle service from checkin/out to your apartment (we stayed in 13 check in 20). Our safe was broken, bathroom tap broken, single bed base broken, couldn't adjust AC independently infact AC broken in middle bedroom which meant the kids had to sleep 3 nights on the... More

The hotel is managed by B&G Hotels. I booked through a 3rd party and was told about AED 300 deposit. Upon check in I was asked for AED 1000. I refused to pay but was asked to give a copy of my credit card. The front desk insisted it was “hotel policy”. On day 2 I found a hand written... More

We travelled with our 21 month old child and he enjoyed the park and the space in the appartment. The staff were really attentive and the house keeping were brilliant,... More

The apartments aren't bad at all and in the end was nice to be right in the hub of Dubai. If you are traveling with the family do make sure that the sleeper couch is in good working order as for my family it was very poor and very uncomfortable. Finding the place is a little tricky at first but... More

Apartment 804 in Abu Kheibal building (building 17) is on the left handside heading onto the palm. Its 3 buildings away from the check in/reception. If you are driving thats fine, if you are in a taxi get the taxi to wait for you at check in and then take you to building 17. Its a bit of a walk... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
