we spent an additional night in the sadaf due to both the wonderful atmosphere in the city and the very obliging service in the sadaf hotel. the rooms are quite spacious for a good price and in addition to a pair of slippers and warm towels you also have your own prayer rug :-) a big plus is also the location as the famous imam square is just a 5 minutes walk away. we stayed there in summer and had a fantastic time, watching the european football championships in persian ("lehmon!", ''bollock!", "lohm!" :-). though a colleague who stayed there in winter complained about a disfunctional air condition which bestowed upon him a severe cold. more

Great location just 5 mins slow walk from Imam square.
A bright, clean modern 4 star hotel with a good rooftop restaurant with good city views. Rooms are clean and well equipped with excellent bathrooms.
Helpful staff.

If you have time after you have seen the main sights of Isfahan a walk round the ancient cemetary of Takht e Fulad is recommended to see a variety of Safavid and Qajar shrines. Its a taxi ride away on the south side of the city. You can walk slowly back along the riverbank.
