I need to admit that the first impression was not good. The check-in was not smooth, staff at that moment even did not know how to connect to WiFi. However room was great, several windows, big comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The guesthouse is in the main street of the city, however at the end of it, just opposite to... More

We booked via booking.com (not Agoda) and had no issues, there was a record of our booking once we arrived. Family room with temple view is what we booked, and what we got. Shower was ok, temperature was all over the place which made the experience "interesting". Standard SE Asia wet room rather than a separate shower. Beds comfortable and... More

After booking a room via Priceline/Agoda, when attempting to check-in the owner showed me a small, widow-less, ground floor room that it appears was being used as a staff apartment. Explaining that if this room was unacceptable he had another property, I accepted a ride well-outside of town to another hotel. While this hotel was perfectly fine for the price,... More

We have been on the road for almost a year and this is the first time i have felt the need to write a review. I think it is only fair to warn others of what to expect if you try and book this hotel in advance. Like the previous reviewer (should have taken note!) we also booked the agoda... More

We've been travelling 7 months now and this is the first hotel that I've had to formally complain about. We booked and paid for a Superior Room on Agoda that has the following description: Cable / Satellite TV with Temple View. The picture on the site is of a lovely double aspect room flooded with light. We arrived at 11:50am... More

Thi guesthouse is located on the main road , quiet far down the main road. But it's only good, it's quiet and clean. A good breakfast is nearby( just around the corner) Really liked my stay here. I highly recommend this place if you are living on a budget but still want to live in a old cosy house. Close... More

Only one upside - very good location - on the street Sakkarine in the old city, directly opposite Wat Sop and Wat Sene. But they've written about wife in the room - it's false.... And wet floor in the bathroom, tight door, unfriendly staff.... When i start to ask about internet, he answered, than I can choose another hotel...- it's... More

Stayed here on my 4th visit to Luang Prabang - my first time staying on the main street. It is a few minutes walk from the centre of town, so very quiet area & directly opposite a monastery. Had upstairs room overlooking the monastery. Good sized, and very comfortable room with good sized & decent bathroom. Staff were always smiling... More

I stayed for 6 nights in one of the downstairs rooms. The room itself was pretty good, but not much storage space. The pillows were nice and fluffy and the mattress was ok. The bathroom was reasonably clean and spacious for the price although the shower head needs replacing. The reception staff were pleasant. The major problem was the very... More

Symoungkoun Guesthouse is located opposite Wat Symoungkoun. The guesthouse is actually located on Wat Street. So, do not miss the opportunity to join Morning Alms Giving in the morning. The guesthouse also nerby Nam Khan river and Mekong river. Sunrise and sunset can access easily in 10 minutes via walking. The owner and staff will definitely show you the Laos... More
