This is one of the most beautiful hotels that I have stayed in. However, there are things that need improvement. Let me start by saying that this hotel is a bit far away from downtown Luang Prabang, which will require you to take a tuk-tuk to and from the city, there are no attractions nearby, but the rooms are absolutely... This hotel appears to cater to tour groups. Located in downtown Vientiane Laos, it's in a good location for walking tours. No pool, no hair dryers, no restaurant, but only a breakfast room without air conditioning. Laundry service was very good - calculated not by the piece but by the kilo! A nice place for a short stay.

We really liked the smallness of this hotel (just 20 rooms), and the romantic and lushly landscaped grounds with an absolutely gorgeous pool (a perfect spot for those five o'clock gatherings!). The rooms are big, with king sized beds available, with good amenities: free wifi, a safe, a small refrigerator, robes and slippers, a large flat-screen TV, a hairdryer. However,... More

this is located a little out of town but just a 3 or 4 dollar tuk tuk ride away. Nice and quiet. The staff was very solicitious. They would always get you a tuk tuk. and make any arrangements you needed

Pros * Friendly Staff * Two free Tuk Tuks a day into town * Big, clean rooms * Adequate breakfast but arrive before the large tour groups finish the food. Cons * 2km from town. * From room 205 the local disco or Karaoke was loud. * 5am local rooster.

Sadly the lack of English in all staff made the simplest requests impossible. Whilst they did their best it is not an experience we would like to repeat. Their prior information indicated a restaurant however only breakfast was available - and what should have been hot food was stone cold. Stone cold fried eggs? Yes! Due to the poor location... More

Read the reviews and after spending 2 days here I had to write a review right away. The hotel is wonderful the breakfast divine. Made to order eggs and a full assortment of items on the buffet for all. Try them out if you are in the area. Very easy to get into town.

Quite surprised this hotel is ranked so high and favorable on TripAdvisor. The overall facilities are clean and accommodating but nothing exceptional that would warrant staying a bit removed from the main part of town and relying on Tuk Tuk for return transportation daily/nightly. The staff comes across is friendly and accommodating however their knowledge of basic spoken English is... More

We just stayed 3 nights at the Ang Thong. First, it is about a 8min tuk-tuk ride from the main tourist area so if you want to walk out your door and be in the middle of things this is not the place for you. However, many things were really great about the hotel. We paid $80 a night in... More
