After a booking mixup at one of the hostels in town, my two friends and I found a special on agoda.com and it worked out perfectly! Close to über cool bar Utopia, and within walking distance of several wats and the night market, this was a good choice. Rooms were clean, they had a three bed option which was perfect... More

We came here after moving from another hotel in the town and extended our stay to five nights. While it was very cheap US$15 for a double room we thought we had the best room on the top floor on the corner with a fabulous balcony with 2 big recliner chairs overlooking the river and big windows to get the... We stayed here for 5 nights in total. To begin with we were in the cheaper rooms in a completely separate block, which was clean but the bathroom wasn't great and there was no wifi. We asked to move, and it was not a problem, we moved to a much nicer room right next to reception with a tv and... More

The hotel itself is actually ok for the price you pay. However, the hassle you will guys from in reception do not make it worth staying here. We were handed the Laws of Laos twice when sat outside at 9pm & 10pm. Sure we were having a beer but we were not being disruptive. Then they decreased the price of... More

This place is really good we stayed in a nice double room with hot shower for 50000 Kip which was a good price for Luang Prabang (we walked around and tried to find cheaper). The place comes with free bananas, coffee, tea and drinking water. Yes the WifI is crap in the rooms, but travelling isn't about staying in your... More

Accommodation in Luang probing we found is slightly more expensive then most places in SE Asia and this was the only place we could find an air con room for $10. However it was probably the worst $10 you can spend. The wifi is there but so slow that it takes over an hour to load a page, the air... More

This place is terrible, paid for a room with wifi and tv...but neither worked. I asked for it to be fixed from day one, and they kept telling me they would....5 days later at the end of my stay-still not fixed. If you are looking for a homely place to stay with good service-THIS IS NOT IT. ....not to mention... More

My first mistake was not booking a hostel in advance of arriving in Luang Prabang on the slow boat from the Thai border. I was then forced to pick between the numerous persistent guys at the pier. After a lot of haggling, a tuk-tuk driver took me and some fellow backpackers to Mao Pha Shok which we regretfully settled for... More

We got picked up at the pier by a very friendly young man who talked us into staying at his guesthouse. By the time we got there he had already put the price up, other people were having the same problem too. Admittedly the room was ok but the rudeness of the staff tainted our stay beyond caring how the... More
