Spent 3 nights in excellent accommodation here at the beginning of March, rooms are very nice, comfortable beds and great location. Coldest beer I have found in SE Asia, had a number of meals here also which were top notch, if you are missing food from home, want an ice cold beer and catch up on sport, this is the... More

In the beginning, I planned to stay in Laos for only 1 nights during my Southeast Asia trip but Luang Praban and Aham Corner tripled it - 2 nights in Luang and 1 in Vang Vieng. Fantastic services, helpful staffs and good amenities at a good price - what more can I ask for? Definitely comeback again when I have... More

My mate & I stayed here in May after riding motor cycles up from Vientiane. John (owner) secured our bikes out the front, as he had a night watchman on duty. This business in in a great location, and you can walk to any attraction located in the city. Rooms were great, with lots of space, and AC. Food and... More

I have just stayed here for four nights ! Fantastic rooms quiet even though it's right in the center of everything. John and his staff are lovely. I felt so welcome and really enjoyed my stay here. John is extremely helpful and is always available for recommendations regarding anything trip or anything you need to know about the area. He... More

My friend and I are so glad that we stayed at Aham Corner for our trip to Luang Prabang. John the owner (an Aussie) is a top bloke and helped us out whenever we needed with advice on where to go and what to see. He even spent 45 mins sawing through my padlock on my suitcase with a hand... More

We, like many other reviewers, extended our stay in Luang Prabang because we loved this guesthouse. You can only book directly with them and not through any booking website, so after a quick internet search I found the email address: aussiesportsbar_luangprabang@yahoo.com After we arrived, John's tips on what to see, where to eat and how to get around were all... We stayed here by chance as there was some goof up in the hotel we had reserved and they accommodated us here instead. What a lucky find. Good sized and comfortable room, great location where you can watch tak bat from. If you make it in time, you can watch the first alms of the day with hymns being recited... More

We spent 2 nights here and loved everything about this place! Perfect location, clean room (we were upgraded for free due to a cancellation and the owner's kindness) and a huge bathroom. We ate dinner here and it was very good as well, with excellent service. But, what sets this place apart is the owner, John. He is SO kind... More

After arriving in Luang Prabang we were surprised to find a place that was showing the All Black Ireland rugby match. Once there we didn't leave. John the owner went out of his way on a daily basis to help us out with anything we needed. Nice and clean accommodation, good food and the hospitality shown to us by John... More

It was such a warm welcome when I arrived in this guesthouse. The people, the place, the room! You might think: 'hm, Aussies, sports, Western food? Do I want that on my trip to Asia?'. Yes, you do! John, his wife and staff will do everything to let you have the best stay in this beautiful city. The bedrooms are... More
