We stayed there for 5 nights and booked two garden view rooms. The rooms were decorated with textiles from different tribes and were very nice, clean and attractive. One of the rooms had a partial view of the Mekong river. On the first day the air conditioners broke down. The staff worked hard to get them repaired. The surroundings were... More

We stayed here in the Mekong Villas for three nights. The craft village is so beautiful and peaceful, the staff are so polite and helpful. The villas are really nice, we unfortunately didn't get the river view villa so I would definitely recommend booking them, however we did have a really nice outside sitting area so nothing to complain about.... We stayed 3 nights in a garden room and then 5 with that gorgeous river view. If you are looking for international hotel standards then do not stay here, it's more home from home. If you are looking for a town centre stay then this is not it. The town is 10 minutes away by free tuk tuk, the airport... More

If you like modern design combined with traditional Laos features this is the place to be. Much love to the details and very friendly staff. You get a free educational tour through their workshop where the create fabric in traditional Laos techniques The few simple but cosy rooms are on top of the shop where the textiles are sold. Two... If you are looking for a quiet, get-away environment, an interest in crafts, good food, a room without a TV and with a balcony that overlooks the Mekong then this is the place for you. As this is run as a b&b with a restaurant that does lunch and if you want dinner in your room then order before 5pm.... More

We stayed 2 nights and had a great time. The room has a balcony overlooking the Mekong river, from which you can watch the locals and their daily routine with their boats. The breakfast is very good and the staff are very warm. The hotel is not besides the main road so you have to take a bycicle (5-6 minutes),... More

I stayed for 2 nights with parents for our 1st visit in the town. The entire staff was beyond hospitable and tentative to our needs. The room was gorgeous with amazing view of Mekong river. The breakfast was wholesome & delectable. The only hiccup was on the 1st night when hot shower wasn't working but overall We enjoyed our stay... More

We stayed 4 nights and loved every minute. Our room (the Hmong Room) has a wonderful balcony overlooking the Mekong river, from which you can watch the locals loading and unloading the rather beautiful, river boats. The rooms - particularly bathrooms - are quite basic but very clean, tasteful and well looked after. The breakfasts and lunches are truly excellent... More

There are just 4 rooms here, and only 2 that have stunning views over the mekong. It's easy to not do a lot here, the days can simply slip by just watching the river. We had visited the craft centre before, so we didn't have to do one of the excellent weaving courses. You can be busy if you want... More

Delightful villa of four rooms each furnished in a different style. We stayed six nights in the Tai room which is the largest for the four rooms and has a balcony overlooking the Mekong. A good sized room with a large comfortable bed (also has a single bed so can sleep three or use as a day bed). The bathroom... More
