The hotel is quite a long tuc-tuc ride from the centre of Luang Prabang & the 'courtesy' bus was not very usable (see below). The best thing about it is the gardens. The rooms are attractively furnished but rather small & have almost no storage space to unpack into. Food was poor. Service was poor - it took 30 minutes... More

I was part of a tour group and this was the best stop on the tour. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Delicious pool, beautifully appointed rooms. Our only meals were buffet breakfasts but there were excellent, offering both western and Asian options including made-to-order dishes. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. I was lucky to have a room... More

LE PALAIS JULIANNA The hotel is a short ride away from the Luang Prabang city center and the grounds are beautiful, tranquil and a perfect setting for a hotel. The hotel has about 60 rooms fully equipped rooms , a very comfortable and well furnished restaurant, free WiFi and a excellent pool and many other amenities. The rooms are large... More

We stayed 2 nights at the end of February. It was very hot and best of all no Mosquitos. We were with a group and not in the best rooms but even so it was lovely even though the bath/shower arrangement was a bit odd - just a bit quirky and not a problem. The staff are delightful and very... More

Came with a tour group of 20. A gorgeous locale. The check in staff was quite disorganized, but eventually, things got mostly fixed. I was disappointed with my room. It was on the back side of the property overlooking the jungle. I returned to reception and asked for a closer room and one facing the pool. I was told there... More

This hotel probably has some of the nicest landscaping of any hotel I have stayed at. The hotel is lovely, and the rooms are attractive. The pool looked inviting, but I found the water to be too cool for my taste (December). Although it was dry while I was here, I have the impression that the area could be quite... More

The Le Palais Juliana was a delightful place to spend our two nights in Laos. The rooms overlooked the beautiful pool area. A great little bar int he entrance lobby made good cocktails and the morning breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was comfortable however the air conditioner did not dehumidify very well and there was a damp feeling throughout... More

This hotel does have nice grounds and the staff are friendly, but it's a 10 minute freezing cold tuk tuk drive into town. In December you need a heavy coat or you'll freeze. The mattress was very hard even by Asian standards. The worst thing was the badly designed shower which couldn't be reached because of the shower door. You... More

The grounds are stunning and the area, being slightly out of town is quiet and peaceful. Luang Prabang is a UNESCO site so the new hotels are outside of the old city but the city proper is only a very short tuk-tuk ride away. On the grounds are decorated with ponds of clean water and populated by water lilies. The... More

The grounds of this hotel are gorgeous. Lillie ponds, tropical vegetation, mountains in the background. The breakfast buffet was decent if not overwhelming. The staff is friendly, but needs some training. An example being; we got to the hotel early evening and decided to use the restaurant. Three of us had soup salad and entrée. On had just entrée. The... More
