I have never stayed at such a beautiful location, the pool and the rooms were impeccable. I was on a tour and was almost tempted to miss feeding the monks to hang out by the pool. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. I would go to Laos again just to stay here!!

Though a little dry, the old small world charm of this quaint place is soothing. Breakfast was basic but the villas & rooms interesting. We were a group of about 28 women and we were well taken care of. Our ground floor room has direct access to the pool that had a ruin for a backdrop. My daughter found that... More

We stayed at Palais Juliana when in Luang Prabang. My wife had been there before and liked the place. We were picked up at the airport and was given a beautiful family room with a view to a small lake with the mountains in the far horizon. A good place for a sundowner. Our room was impeccable. Well designed, clean... More

I stayed here during my Indochina travel in 2011 and the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and big. The staffs are very helpful and the manager at reception provided us complimentary drive to airport which was very nice of him.

This was the last leg of our Asian tour. The hotel was a wise choice, the staff very friendly and helpful. The two wings have two floors, we chose the upper floor due to better view . The rooms below have direct access to the pool though. The rooms are furnished at par with international standards with comfortable beds. Breakfast... More

Surrounded by water and trees, this hotel is a perfect escape from the dusty town streets. Rooms are great. Daily housekeeping is very good, but the room needs a detailed cleaning - a bit grimey. Meals very good, but be patient with the staff as they have not been well trained, although they are keen to please. Whoever is managing... More

Good points: Great coffee, with waiters almost always hovering nearby with refills Good food and service in dining room Bellboys (is that term still allowed?) always present and eager to help Beautiful location and grounds Bad points: WiFi only in lobby Too far out of town to walk - had to take TukTuk whenever we went out Stair risers uneven... 5 km away from the city hustle, Palais Juliana is the ideal place for those looking to to relax in a quiet environment. We liked to swim in the nicely designed swimming pool surrounded by beautiful mountains.

The resort is located about 5 km outside of LPs old town. A tuk tuk downtown will set you back 50 000 kip. The grounds and resort it self is beautiful but it just is not worth 200 USD per night. The rooms are big and spacious with free wifi. However the rooms are showing signs if being very worn,... More
