After checking the whole LP by motorbike, as well as prices and places that people rent, this was like a heaven. 90000 per night for 4 nights for a double room with river view and balcony was more than a great deal for January. It is very near the center, clean, neat and cozy.

Cold River is an excellent place to stay in the 'godforsaken' LPB. We booked through Agoda and paid around £11 per night for a double room. One thing to remember is that it's not where it says it is on Google or Ulmon maps (it took a good hour to find it!). It's just off the main road and down... More

The ladies running this place are really lovely and welcoming! The location is about 5 minutes walk from the main centre bit. The room was great, as we are backpackers, this felt like a bit of luxury - we had our towels changed, room cleaned, tv in the room etc.. The shower is hot and great breakfast. In all really... We stayed quite a few days and thought it was quite nice. Don't forget your shoes there though as you leave them out front before walking in. (PS - anyone going from there to Vang Vieng or Vientiane the next few days maybe you can email me and bring my shoes! ;) hallonicole@yahoo.ca

The room I received was average. I could have a good nights sleep but the bathroom was atrocious. Had cold baths during winter. Winter in Luang Prabang can be rather harsh considering its location. However you do meet some amazing guests with amazing stories here. The memories with the guests will not be forgotten.

Hello, my Brother and I stayed her earlier this year and had such a nice time while we ere volunteering. The breakfast was amazing and the people who run the hotel are just darling. Does anyone have an email address for them please? Thanks

Nice hosts. The property is a little away from the inner city. A tuktuk cost around 2 USD to get to the nightmarket. Room come with a very nice view of the river. Breakfast is good also. It was a pleasant stay. Very quiet!

We have stayed at this guesthouse (as retired volunteers)for weeks at a time for three years and have nothing but praise for it. It is exceptionally clean., in a good position , security is good and the family go out of their way to make us welcome. It is very good value for money. Every Friday evening there is a... More

Writing this up with only 2 stars. Lonely Planet was my bible until I came to Luang Prabang. The owner, or daughter of the owner was rude and did not make me feel comfortable at all. This negates anything positive about my room -- though there isn't much. I was woken early morning by the construction in the backyard and... More

We left here after two nights. Quite simply it was overpriced for what it was. The service was poor, the beds uncomfortable, and a little off the beaten track. Not terrible but we felt it was not worth it in the end and have moved shop for the rest of our stay
