We stayed in the golden lotus guesthouse for three nights ($15 p/n) and we really enjoyed it. It is the middle of the center (close to the night market), but in a quiet place. The staff is very friendly and helpful and gave us free water everyday. The room is clean, looks new and have a tv with english canals.... More

A great little hotel. For Laos this place has a great hot shower which has full pressure. The wifi is free but would not work from our room. The rooms are clean and the location is great. Be aware you cannot get dropped off at the hotel itself as it is down a lane way.

This is a nice clean guest house with friendly helpful staff. The location is central but quiet in the evenings. We had a front facing room which we discovered early the next morning overlooked the morning market (fruit and veg) and they start early! Either get a room to the back or wear earplugs!

We stayed 4nts, good location, basic room, easy access to night market, temples, mekong river. But we had cockroaches in the room (It could be inevitable in South East Asia, but unpleasant...). There are many guesthouse around this area with similar price, so maybe we will try a different one next time.

Best thing about this guesthouse was the location, located in the centre of Luang Prabang yet in a quiet side street so you don't get all the chaos of the night market. You do get some noise in the morning as there is a food market but its not too early and its not that bad. The place was really... More

I decided to stay at this guesthouse after looking at trip advisor reviews and booked through Agoda. I landed in Lung Prabang after the 2.5 day slow boat trip from Thailand. The landing point was some distance away from the town area and required a tuk tuk trip. The driver let me off and pointed down a street for the... More

I stayed at the Golden Lotus for four nights back in October. After arriving by boat I looked at a number of guesthouses, but after seeing the room at the Golden Lotus I was happy to spend more for the room than planned. The main reason was the spacious, very clean room, a comfortable double bed, TV with lots of... More

This little guesthouse is down a tricky to find alley way that is filled with women selling fresh veg in the morning and clear apart from a street vendor cooking up a buffet at night. The nightmarket is a 30 second walk away so the location is perfect. They have obviously done some renovation work here recently as there are... More

This new (or recently remodelled) guest house has smart rooms and excellent plumbing. Laos doesn't seem to do maintenance - things are fixed only when they're seriously broken - so staying at a new place is a good idea. Excellent central location next to Wat Mai, in a nameless alley but with a sign on the main street. Good value... More

Hotel is very clean and comfortable; close to Royal Palace and Museum. Staff was helpful and friendly. At $25/night, not the cheapest option, but worth the price. This hotel is one of the options offered at the "tourist desk" when you arrive at the airport (They have a binder with offered guesthouses from which to choose). All-in-all not a bad... More
