The Apsara Rive Droite was a very cute and charming little hotel. I really liked the decorations and the feel of the resort, it reminded me of Colonial French times. Our room was very big and spacious, a little bit run down in some areas like the doors and the windows, but not a big deal. The bed was also... More

It's beautiful, quiet, romantic, very green, the view on the river and peninsula of Luang Prabang is unique, the small boat trip to get there (crossing the river) is funny, food is great simple but extremely well cook, not over priced as often in luxuary hotel... we're getting close to perfection!

The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. The hotel could not be better located - there is a boat to cross the river to get to the old city which was a nice touch. The food was also exquisite - perhaps the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel - with amazing staff service and lovely hotel manager,... More

The location is the best aspect of this hotel. The fact that it is across the water from the main peninsula is an attraction, ferried back and forth by a small motor boat. We were lucky enough to have Room 6 with its vast balcony and great view through fronds and leaves over to the main part of Luang Prabang.... More

My husband and I got married at this beautiful hotel last year and have been meaning to write a review to thank the wonderful staff ever since. The hotel is situated on the river with a peaceful garden and pool area where you can immerse yourself in the sounds of nature while still being a stone's throw away from the... More

We had a long lovely stay at Apsara Rive Droite. Anita and her staff look after you with warmth and skill. The rooms are large and very nicely done with a really comfortable bed, big bathroom and balcony with good outdoor furniture. The hotel is some steep steps down to the river bank, a minute's private hotel boat ride and... More

Luang Prabang's Historic District is a UNESCO site. We stayed one night at the sister property, Apsara, located in the district. We thought it was very nice and well located, but they couldn't accommodate us for two more nights. So we moved across the adjacent river to Apsara R.D. At first we didn't like having to "commute" via either the... More

Located in a quiet part of Luang Prabang, yet near enough to get to the old town in 5 minutes by using the boat. Large, clean and beautifully furnished rooms. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, and very efficient too! The best bread in Luang Prabang is served during breakfast. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Should you look for something different, a country that seems to be fallen 'out of time' - then Laos is worth a trip.......Be prepared for some totally different perceptions. Time get's back it's right. And APSARA is the key: beautiful boutique hotel, quiet, spacious rooms, gorgeous bath tub with clear hot water (very relaxing after a full day on 'discovery... More

We stayed three nights and found this an excellent choice. It qualifies as one of our all-time favorite hotels. The room was large, clean, well laid out and stylish in a restrained colonial way. The balcony was exactly what we wanted for a quiet beer after a day in town or on an excursion. The beds were great - even... More
