The first night I stayed in a 4 bed dorm, kept awake by heavy snorer (like a machine gun!). Next day moved into private room in new block, still under construction, so early wake up! Had the best NYE in my life! Met the greatest people, even the owners/workers! Such a great atmosphere! Obviously the rooms arn't your faviourte thing there but you only sleep there and hang out with all the backpackers or hit the town! Luang Prabang was just amazing all round, im almost certain spicy/lemon laos had a great influence on that... More

If you want to have a good, clean, comfortable room, than just don't go here. If you want to hang out in a really nice relaxing place and meet other people, than this is your place to be! Having stayed in hostels all over south east Asia this is the worst hostel I have had the misfortune to stay in. The rooms are dirty, the sheets unclean and the toilets don't have seats. There are no doors it was impossible to sleep from the noise even at two in the morning. There are plenty of nicer hostels around... More

The mattresses are springy and the place could do with a lick of paint but it is social and a good place to meet people. They also do cheap trips to the Kuong Si waterfall which is well worth the trip.

Had no idea of my booking. Rooms we're small and dirty. Windows didn't close properly, and it was cold Bed was hard and sank in the middle. Staff unfriendly and unwelcoming. People say it's good to meet people there, I'd rather pay double and stay alone.

definitely the best place for backpackers in luang prabang... cheap, decent dorm rooms, hot water, whisky, wifi, good location, and best of all just a really sociable place to meet other travellers. its such a friendly place - both staff and other backpackers - met some amazing people there!! the only downside is that they completely overcharge for bus tickets,... We were really looking forward to staying here, after reading all of the reviews... But then the reality did hit us.
