The inn itself is very cute. It's a small establishment on the main road in town, which makes its location excellent. For that reason alone it's worthwhile to stay there. Rooms are small but cozy. The lighting is very dim, so it's not really possible to read in bed. It would be nice for that option as there is no... more

This is a modern hotel built in traditional style and is full of wooden floors, beams and "antique" artifacts. I stayed 5 nights, the first in Room 1 downstairs which was very dark with a tiny shower room, then asked to change rooms and moved upstairs to room 6 which was still quite small but had better light and a... more

Hotel looks nice and the rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. But: The rooms are too small, too dark and too expensive. $ 80.- is too much. Value is $ 40.- Breakfast is a bit poor. more

I stayed here for 3 nights:1 night in a superior room. This barely fitted the double bed & what space there was, was filled with kitsch bric-a-brac. The next 2 nights we moved to upstairs to what they called a "deluxe" room basically the same but more chinese junk furniture but for a higher price!! The staff try to overcome... more

We stayed at Chang Inn one night, we wanted some comfort after a trek in north Laos. The price was 85 USD, for a downstairs room. The hotel looks nice and the rooms are very clean and well furnished. The breakfast was good and the staff is friendly. But I would not recommend this hotel as it is overpriced :... more

I stayed for 8 nights at The Chang Inn during the end of monsoon/buddhist lent festival. The location is great. Just out of the main area but easy walking distance to all the major temples, sites, night market, both rivers, lots of restaurants. The appearance of the hotel is very quaint and many people stopped to take pictures of it.... more

This place was fantastic. After one night in a very poor guesthouse, we looked for somewhere better and found this place. We were a party of two couples and although the rooms were small and a little dark, they were well furnished, air conditioned with great showers and bathrooms and spotlessly clean. The two rooms we were in had use... more

During our month long trip to Thailand and Laos, we stayed in Luang Prabang for 3 nights. We did not prebook any hotels prior to arriving and walked around the city center looking for a hotel. We initially stated at at Villa Santi ($100 US/night) and was an older hotel. Not very impressed with the hotel, as they have 2... more
