We really enjoyed this hotel in Mandalay. It was very comfortable and a nice place to come back to after long days of sightseeing. There are good restaurants within walking distance as well (Green Elephant and Little Bit of Mandalay). More

This was another aged business hotel. It was in need of some updating. It was in a decent location and it was they did have a decent breakfast. The staff was friendly enough, but the hotel was not very comfortable or homey. More

The hotel is situated at the southeast corner of the palace. In fact, you can see the east and south moats from in front of the hotel. It is a typical business hotel with decent rooms (and bathrooms). Most of the rooms either face the swimming pool on the south side or the palace on the north side. The breakfast... More

The hotel is well located by the reconstructed palace and we certainly enjoyed the sunset view along the lake. The hotel itself is a largely characterless business hotel that delivers the essentials but nothing else particularly memorable. The room was a good size but a little dated and we had to call maintenance to sort out a broken toilet -... More

We stayed at the Sedona for 3 nights in November 2011. The hotel is well located with fine views from the front. Just around the corner are a number of 'upmarket restaurants' which is handy if you tire of hotel food. The staff are first class and the facilities are in line with a 4 star hotel. We opted for a... We stayed in this hotel for 1 night in November 2011 with my wife and with our son. So, we took suite room. The room was very nice with wonderful view on the Mandalay hill. Hotel itself located just nearby the Mandalay palace and it's wall. We didn't have a choice to use any hotel's facilities, because mostly we were... More

While a basic room, the view was spectacular, looking over the old palace and Mandalay Hill. Breakfast buffet was very nice - did not eat dinner at the hotel. Pool looked wonderful, but it was rainy during our stay, so did not get a chance to use it. More

A very good hotel - we booked a mini-suite which was exactly as advertised! Very comfortable, air conditioned, large balcony, neat swimming pool, and service was very good. The restaurant was also good (not great, but quite acceptable). The hotel did accept a credit card payment (for an additional 4-1/2 percent) but at least we didn't have to fork over... More

Having traveled to Mandalay on a frequent basis for over thirty years, it was a real pleasure when the Sedona Manadaly opened in 1995. The Sedona Mandalay is without question the best hotel in Mandalay - a true five star property. The elegant lobby with pink marble floors, high ceilings, and beautiful Myanmar art work is simply stunning. The rooms... More

The Sedona hotel is well located, with a very nice view of the old palace grounds. But the rooms are old, the dark carpet gives the sensation of not clean, the restaurant is like that of an all inclusive 3 star hotel, instead of a 5 star as this hotel claims to be. It is OK for a one night... More
