Kangerlussuaq is above the Arctic Circle, so the location has its challenges. The Hotel, which is attached to the airport, offers basic rooms. The rooms are clean and have a small frig. We were given a room with a hill view, so we asked to switch to the airport view. The second room was smaller, but it had the important... more

If you are transitting through Kangerlussuaq the accommodation options are limited. The Hotel Kangerlussuaq is as others have mentioned part of the airport terminal. The hotel is over 40 years old. We met the original architect who advised that it was built to a budget and it shows. Don't expect anything fancy, this is a transit hotel and as long... more

Trapped in Greenland by bad weather had to stay here an unplanned, expensive two nights. Think about $210 for B&B per night. I have stayed before a couple of times some years ago (in winter and it was COLD at -30C !) and nothing much has changed. This place is timeless and a comfortable peaceful place. Hotel doubles as airport... more

On my way back to Europe I stayed one night at this hotel. The room was the largest out of the three hotels I have stayed in during this trip. ( hotel Arctic Illulisat, Hotel Sisimiut), Comfortable beds and plenty of space. The meal options are either the café or the restaurant. In the vicinity there is also a pizza... more

The hotel is run by Greenland's Airport Authority and is housed in the former US Airbase premises. Once you're in the terminal, the hotel reception is on your right. Didn't see any elevators though. The rooms are huge yet quite basic, very clean, with very comfy beds and nice bathroom facilities (shower only). It's the only hotel in the area... more

The Hotel Kangerlussuaq is part of the airport terminal building. Believe it or not, this building gets extremely busy when international flights are arriving and departing. The hotel is ok but not a spot you would probably want to spend a lot of time in. For transit to other areas of Greenland, it's fine as a stopover. more

Kangerlussuaq is the international entry point for Greenland - and when you arrive at the Airport you can check directly into the Hotel - they're the same building! The rooms have the basic facilities and a view over the runway - dont worry it's sound-proofed and only active for part of the day - and the hills. You can just... more
