We stayed at the Polar Lodge before starting out on the Arctic Circle Trail hike. It was expensive but that is expected in Greenland so we were not surprised. There was 2 shared bathrooms on our floor and they were always clean. We made our own meals while we were there and there's plenty of kitchen supplies to use. Very... More

This is a hostel, but with private rooms, no dorms. It’s 2 minutes’ walk from the airport terminal – at the exit look to your left. The rooms are spartan but OK – clean, light, so-so bed, reading light. But the walls are very thin, and the plumbing makes noise all night, so you need earplugs. The bathrooms are shared,... More

I visited the polar lodge before my trip on the Arctic circle trail. The place looks well maintained and clean. It has a great location close to the airport. When you know Kangerlussuaq, you know there is not much to it. My bin was not emptied from the day before.

A clean hostel-like hotel. You can't do much better in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. Sufficient bathrooms and showers, and fortunately screens on some of the windows to keep the mosquitoes away. 200 yards from the airport, where there is an excellent cafeteria, and 200 yeard from a large supermarket. The breakfast though was boring.

The polar lodge is about one star hotel/hostel with small rooms and facilities (toilet and shower) shared between each 4-6 rooms. Room furnishing is quite spartan. My room had 2 single beds and an odour of dampness I was unable to get rid of by having window open for entire day. But then you have mosquitoes. It is apparent that... More

Polar lodge is right next to the airport and close to the shop. If you stay here when it's mosquito season that is a good thing. You also get a bus to take you into the centre of town next to the airport. The rooms are basic, beds comfortable and the place is clean. You have a net over the... More

POLAR LODGE. KANGERLUSSUAQ. I had decided to sleep in this village - "airport" just to improve the high price of the a more convenient flight to return to CPH, and also because I thaught it was possible to visit the Ice Cap or some glacier. Well, nothing to visit if your flights are around midday: no time. The best of... More

i had such a nice trip to kangerlussq , stayed at the polar lodge - chartered a plane and flew over the ice caps, went moose spotting, long walks, went to the cemetery -with its lone occupant, golf course, walked over the ice cap and the glacier, amazing trip, ate at the airport hotel , but the dumbest thing on... It's hard to give the Polar Lodge a four star rating, but considering where you are, it's not bad. Rooms are small but clean (I had a single), shared bathrooms and showers were across the hall. Good hot water in the shower. Breakfast was basic but good. The lodge also offers guests the services of a kitchen including a microwave.... More

Stayed at Polar Lodge for two nights. Location is ideal near the airport. Room was a bit small but clean and plenty of storage space. Room was cleaned every day. Yes, its shared bathrooms but we never waited in the morning and it was very clean. Not great deal of choice for breakfast but food was tasty.
