Just returned from a lovely week in Tunisia, courtesy of the Tej Marhaba. The hotel was lovely and clean, with welcoming staff and the only downside was that the rooms (although spotless) are a little dated. I was travelling solo and was delighted to be given a huge room with a bed nearly eight foot wide. The loo and bathroom... more
The Tej Maharbe is a fantastic hotel. I have read all the past reviews and have to say to you all, you forget that tunisia is not as wealthy as the UK or USA. For those who travel there expecting the ritz, you clearly aren't a worldly person and niave. Tunisia is an amazing part of Africa and you have... more
Having just returned from the Tej i can honestly say the 3 of us who stayed here for a week were pleasantly surprised at the standards of cleanliness, the food at both Breakfast and dinner and the treatment from the staff. So we got a little bit of haggling when out and about walking the streets but at the end... more
I have to say, having read some of the reviews here and on a different website I was slightly worried about our holiday to Tunisia before going, but overall we all had a good time and came away from Tunisia very happy. There were 8 of us travelling to Tunisia for my older brother's 40th birthday and our parties ages... more
The hotel is lovely, the pools are fantastic. The entertainment wasn't the best but some was quite good. The buffet meals were delicious, the breakfast was always the same but the fresh pancakes and croissants were really nice. The rose and crown bar is a good place for a drink, the manager is friendly and funny. Farmers restaurant down the... more
Just returned from a great holiday at the Tej Marhaba, the room was spotless, & kept that way for the 2 weeks we were there. (Could have been something to do with the tip left in the ashtray each morning!, this is customary), had no complaints whatsoever about the food, it was good, plentiful,& if you could'nt find anything you liked,... more
This is a nice hotel which, although could be doing with a bit of a spruce up, is clean and comfortable. The entrance is lovely, and the pool and beach areas are nice- the only problem being that you have to cross the road and walk past a building site to get to the beach. The rooms are the hotel's... more
Overall good however some may be put off - be realistic if you decide to go - but please read further for a real explanation of what to expect from a North African 4 star hotel. It seems that the Tej Marhaba was first built approx 17 years ago according to some staff we spoke to - thing is it... more
Lovely hotel.Rooms very clean. We went full board and well worth while as lunch buffet was in our opinion even better than the dinner buffet. Too many fussy eaters if they cant find something here to please their palates. Pool area nice and the beach section the hotel uses is lovely.Very clean more
