As frequent travellers we are used to different kinds of hotel accomodation and after reading negative reviews about El Hana Beach we thought people were exagerating. Our expactations were low but what we saw was not acceptable: disgusting smelling room, filthy carpet, creepy insects in the bathroom, blood on the bedsheets. If we can give one advice: change the hotel... more

It was clean, the staff was ok, but just. You have to cross the main road (busy) to get to the beach. Most rooms have a wonderfull view to the sea. Food average or worse. BUT! Don't go there in August! Gelly fish in the sea, the swimming pool shared with a hotel next door (they are both El Hana,... more

We have just returned from the El Hana Beach Hotel in Sousse, Tunisia. The hotel was absolutely crap, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL it will ruin your holiday. The staff are ignorant, all there out for is tips if they try and help you. The hotel didn't have any english there - only germans, full of them. There was... more

The first thing to consider in going to Tunisia is what you want from the holiday. If you want bars and good quality restaurants, this isn't the place for you. It does offer great weather and nice beaches but that's about it. I'm talking purely about the beach resorts here, I recognise Tunisia has much to offer on the cultural... more

El Hana is a quiet hotel - no kids - and just a short walk from Port El Kantaoui. Not a European Five Star and was probably better in it's heyday - dining is rather canteen like. Having said all this - you get what you pay for and the food, service and rooms were good - everything was very... more

I have spent two weeks at El Hana Beach Hotel. The first impression was terrible, inside the whole hotel looks like a basement, or a scene from a horror movie: dark, empty, smelly. We had a room with a seaview (after tipping the receptionist), so the view was nice. The room itself was OK in size, but the furniture (including... more

The El Hana Beach... we went there a couple of years ago HB and , although on holidays, all we wanted was a clean room and edible food... Thats what this hotel delivers ! It might be a "tunisian 5 star", however, in Britain it would get 2-3 stars. The rooms are of good size and most, if not all,... more

Before booking this hotel, think that this is a 3 stars hotel, not a 5stars one, and you can't expect from it what it can't give you! For it's clasification, it is a very good hotel, and the location makes it the best from Sousse because you have easy acces to the most important atraction points in Sousse! The problem... more

Well, reading the posts of the others, I hope that this hotel nowaday caters more for east europeans and not the brits, and it is good that way. Let's face it, people from different countries may have different requirements and threshold of tolerance, and this hotel at least tests your limits as far as quality of lodging goes. The rooms... more

I've stayed twice at the El Hana Beach hotel, once in 2004 and again in 2005. It's a wonderful hotel, nothing fancy of course but definitely not a dump. It's in a great location, is clean and has lovely views of the Mediterranean. The breakfast buffets are great, and the employees are fun and very helpful. I have some lovely... more
