This hotel has a very grand feel about it - high ceilings, marble flooring, gold tinted wall paper - and was probably one of the nicest hotels when it was at its peak. But that has long passed. It's very tired now and clearly needs a bit of investment to bring it back to a high quality standard. There are... More

Friendly cooperative staff, Lovely Breezy 6th Floor restaurant "Blue Harbour", adequate breakfast varieties,a unique "heritage " hotel perfect for City trip .. we wished rooms were sound proof yet car horns didn't undermine sleep quality ..... we believe some alternative routes for the heavy traffic should be sought to protect the building from the consequences of noise and pollution spacious... What you will love more about this hotel once you step in is the way you are treated by every personnel on duty, a big welcoming smile that in no time makes you feel home. The hotel holds an authentic heritage that goes back to 1906, the year it was built, the scent of old civilized Egypt is reflected by... More

Fantastic hotel with a brilliant location and very friendly staff. Perfect for winter, spring and Autumn visits to Alexandria. looking over the old historical bay with Alex citadel and near downtown restaurants. We had our breakfast in the roof open air and enjoyed the Egyptian food great falafel prepared by their giant smiling chef.

I just came back from a 2 night stay at this hotel. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was like in the 1930's with an iron wrought and wooden elevator and all the ornate ceilings with drawings...it is kore like a museum . Last time i stayed there i was given a double room whic was very... More

I've never experienced such warm greeting and hospitality before in any hotel in Egypt. It's an old-classic hotel with all the vintage details from A-Z, decorated walls and painted ceilings and classic furniture with royal-like halls. We booked two rooms, our room was beyond amazing, nice view, spacious and clean bathroom. The other room was a little bit disappointing because... More

The hotel location is excellent near city center, just a few minuets of walk. Some rooms are very smelly that 2 hours of air-conditioning running does not solve the problem, but when I complained they offered me another room but with the same problem. When I asked to see a room that looks directly at the see, I got a... More

I spent two nights there, but actually i didn't like. to be fair enough let's talk about goods and disadvantages: 1) goods: - Close to down town, cinemas, train and Alexandria library about 10 min walking. - Roof view is amazing especially at nights. also there was a nice singer with a professional stuff to sing with different languages. that... I hate this hotel as it ruined my vacation. I booked 3 double rooms on booking.com and wrote in the comments we need separate beds not king sized one. I also called and asked for 2 of the rooms to be triple (add an extra bed) as this was the only way to have a triple room. Although i called... More
