Very clean, luxurious and spacious suites complemented by sea and garden views of El-Montazah. Moreover, the service is excellent as well. Also you can enjoy near by restaurants and cafes within a walking distance in a very private park away from the crowded streets of Alexandria. I really enjoyed my stay there and definitely will stay there again if I... More

The rooms are just ok. Don't expect a Singapore Raffles Hotel experience. The service is really terrible. There are no complimentary tea, coffee in the room although they give a kettle to boil water. I am not sure for what as there is nothing to add the hot water to. There is no bottled water either. Most 5 stars hotel... More

this hotel is one of the former palaces of the royal family of Mohamed Ali Pasha, it is a small hotel but its excellent location in the heart of the Montazah Gardens made it unique by all the meaning of the words. great rooms , most of it are suits, great food. I spent one night there during my work... More

Staying at the El Salamlek was one of the best parts of our trip to Egypt. This was formerly one of the palaces of King Farouk. It is stunning. We enjoyed top level of service and everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Meals in the ”coffee shop” were outstanding. Actually the coffee shop is a very fancy top-notch... More

This hotel is beautiful and it is surrounded by lush gardens that are a nice escape from the rest of the city. This is a small hotel with only about 20 room most of them are suites with just 4 regular rooms. I got a great deal because it was Ramadan. The room was great, big, comfortable and very clean. My... What was bad about our visit: *Guest relations and reception had attitudes as if we were not up to par with the hotel standard and we did not belong *Farida Restaurant Host took our bread basket off our table after the waiter placed it on our table claiming that he put it wrong. He then placed it on a table... More

We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of our OAT trip to Egypt. We were given a 2 room suite that was delightful, overlooking the Sea. This used to be the hunting lodge of King Farouk where he also brought his family. Were told this also used to house the concubines of the late 1800's King. Breakfast were very... More

Each room is different. The restaurants are fabulous and it is set on the sea (with lighthouse) and in El Montazah Gardens. Don't miss the sleeping lions. More

Although I use tripadvisor fairly frequently and travel to various places throughout the world 5-6 times a year, I have never written a hotel review. However, I am happy to do so for El Salamlek. It is a very special place. At arrival, we were immediately upgraded to suite for "this being our first visit" (?). Without question (and I... More
