“Grand old lady, well-preserved”

A gem of a hotel, with history and atmosphere. Lovely old-fashioned rooms, with tasteful modernisation. Just a little bit complacent, missing the target in a few minor but memorable ways. Cold restaurant with unremarkable food, but buffet breakfast to perfection. Room service mediocre.

“Best place to stay in Alexandria”

The hotel is perfectly situated on the bay with great views and rooms and bathrooms very nicely fitted out. Free wifi was a bonus and the room service was inexpensive and exquisitely presented. I found the staff friendly and the reception, particularly Suzanne, very helpful regarding sightseeing.

“Good Weekend in Alexandria”

Centrally located - lovely view, walking distrance to Library and Fort as well quite a few reasonably /low cost restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly but possibly could be more forthcoming about eating options and 'tourist' information.
