Excellent facilities for the money paid. The room was clean, great view from the window, silent place. Perfect for a tourist, a couple or a group of friends. You just have to climb down the stairs and you are in the center of Brasov.

I previously booked a hostel for three nights in Braşov, which turned out horrible. The next day, while strolling thru the streets, i came across with this good old hotel postavarul/coroana, 1* and 2*, respectively; jointly managed by the same company. After checking the rooms, in both hotels, i immediately canceled the remaining two nights in the hostel and checked... More

I must firstly say that I live in Romania and have never known anyone to have anything stolen from them before. In saying that, I am really upset to report that after staying a couple of times at this low quality (but cheap) hotel, I recommended a friend to stay there and his iPad and iPod were stolen from his... The Postavarul Hotel has a lot of character. We liked the long corridors that start in the Coroana Hotel and become the Postavarul further along. The ensuite had only a washbasin and a toilet, the old-fashioned type where you pull the chain! No shower in the room, but it was just a few steps down the hall, and had good... More

This is a hotel with a special atmosphere at a very central location for an incredibly low price (60 lei - 15 euro for a single room). Room was not luxurious (only toilet, shared shower), but value for money. The restaurant in the same building serves an excellent "`a la carte" breakfast for 20 lei (5 euro). Beware that two... POSTAVURAL BRASOV WRITTEN 6TH jUNE, 2007 Myself and my ex-husband were looking at places to invest in in the historic quarter of Brasov, and just chanced upon the postavural, at the Corona Hotel, on Republicii street, a pedestrianised street in the heart of the old town. We had a twin room on the second floor with toilet and w.h.b. and... More

Myself and a colleague have stayed at the Postavarul a number of times, and it has a certain old-world charm, but this may not appeal to everyone... It is in a fabulous building, ideally situated within Brasov, but the decor is from the 1970s, and on one occasion we were 'upgraded' to a superior room which had a television, but... More
