Delightful week, I can endorse everything that has been said about this property. Possibly 5 days would have been long enough and when you book you need to choose the days you are there carefully as in the busy times the itinerary isn't able to be changed. Sunday was our only disappointing day, there was only one activity available, a... more

I looked forward to this trip for so long that I worried I had set my expectations too high. Fortunately for me, it turned out to be more wonderful than I could have imagined. My partner and I stayed in the outer buildings, a 5 minute walk from the main house and found our accommodations were throughly modern and comfortable.... more

There's nothing here to criticise - the accomodation was great, the staff were endlessly helpful, the food was superb. Each day had a choice of organised activities, which you could take or leave as you pleased. If in doubt, the staff were able to mix and match or just move things around to make life easier. We visited Sigisoara, ate... more

I loved this place and had a wonderful time! The staff members are so nice, and above all the food is AWESOME! It's really like being a guest at someone's really cool house. Plus, you get to meet interesting people from all over the world at dinner. Oh, the wine is good too. My friend and I got to stay... more

I am sorry there must have been some sort of a misunderstanding when the guests from America discussed the riding issue with my wife. As our horses are young purebred Shagya Arabs with quite a temperament, it would have been irresponsible from my wife to allow a non-experienced rider to go out on the trek. This is what she tried...

The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating. If you do not have a car, do take the transfer package from them. It will save you much time and hassle- it is reasonably priced for the distance- over 1 hour taxi ride from the train station in brasov. This is a farm stay, so be prepared for a very simple... more

We stayed for one week and took our five year old boy with us. The staff made us very welcome and the daily cultural/nature tours gave us great insight into this wonderful region and filled our time well. Accommodation was comfortable and the food was good. Communal dining might be off-putting for some guests, and if travelling with children beware... more

Had a great time, with wife and two boys (11 and 13). After a bit of a doubletake on arrival we settled in just fine. It is not a luxury hotel but rather a collection of properties on two sites, both part of the fabric of a typical peasant village. Certainly not your average tourist location, but a beautiful countryside,... more

Yet another wonderful visit to this magical place. Last year we missed the migratory birds so decided to come earlier this year and our kind host, the Count took us on a wonderful birdwatching walk. The countryside is a very precious area and the Count feels strongly about keeping it so. Our room was cosy, atmospheric and beautiful. Several people... more

Very cold but, sadly, no snow when we arrived. We were given a very warm welcome by everyone and loved the whole set up. If you're going to visit though remeber, whatever you do, don't leave the open part of your mind at home. The food is lovely, hearty and home cooked and the attention given to one vegetarian whilst... more

If you want a really unique, authentic experience which feels like "time travel", this is absolutely THE place to go. The village is amazing, the guesthouses are spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished in "original" style--rustic yet elegant, with nice bathrooms. I found the beds to be very comfortable, with european style goose down duvees. The atmospheric wine cellar ought to... more
