This hotel isn't bad by Romanian standards. The rooms are comfortable and it's got character. But it was spoilt by the breakfast service, which was lamentable. A hotel in an excellent location and seems very elegant at a first impression, but the elegance is just a coat of paint thick. The furniture was very much "flat pack" with a little bit of gold paint to give an impression of French elegance. The room had only one mirror and that was hidden behind a large television set.... more

stayed here on business. Certainly one of the best hotels available outside of Bucharest. Perfect location, parking behind the hotel. Friendly check in. Decent breakfast. Nice, classic style. Good beds and not so very expensive. Quiet at night. Overall a pleasant experience. Would recommand and go there again. more

Very nice setting but very poor cuisine. Fatty and rich, no finesse and quantity seemed more important than quality ! Just go in to have a look but don't eat there !!! more

I recently stayed at the hotel for two nights. Sibiu is a gem of a city. There are lots of nice shops along the main street and large town square where the hotel is located. The hotel is known as the best in town. It's obvious that a lot of money has been put into it to make it better.... more

We were very happy with our stay in mid-October. It may have been a bit worn around the edges but we liked the decor of the lobby and our room. The breakfast was excellent. I guess maybe we're not pampered travelers, but I have to wonder what people expect for less than $100 a night in a fabulous tourist town. more
