Despite its excellent location, clean rooma and friendly personell, the rooms are rather small. And the biggest problem is that the cigarete smoke is infiltrated in curtains and wood. Its very hard to stand it. I recommend people to be sure they ask if there ia a room without such a problem

Visited during a trip around Romania with foreign travelers. Excellent location Swimming pool in the center of Sibiu Old, but renovated hotel Polite and helpful personel The food not so good Suitable for travelers and business. The hotel is more likely a B&B than a high quality hotel.

It is historic and a hoot centrally located. Each of our two rooms was large and funky. The service is good. Everything is just a little bit run down, not badly so. The breakfast was just adequate. All said and done, I'd go here again if ever I revisited Sibiu which is lovely. Wifi is iffy.

The oldest hotel in Europe in very high standards one of a kind still running as a hotel and salon restaurant. It is unique because of the salon roof open up as a soon roof and has been build 500 years ago. Very nice to see to visit or to stay at.

Stayed here one night as part of a tour. The location of this hotel is perfect. Right in the middle of old town. Breakfast was just OK, service at breakfast just OK also. The only place we stayed in Romania that did not have fruit or any cook to order food. Not good for what would appear to be high... More

The contradictory reviews about this hotel made us wonder, The pros outweigh the cons: Pros: probably the best location in the "old" town within walking distance to most attractions, doubtless a historical building with character and glamour, excellent staff from the front desk to the waiters at breakfast, good quality buffet breakfast with real good coffee, good spa facilties. Cons:... More

This hotel while trying to remain elegant is in need of refurbishment and mainly new beds. The mattress is below the board on the side of the bed. I couldn't get out of bed without hoisting myself up and over the sideboard. The rest of the room and the bathroom wasn't too bad. Breakfast was good but wi-fi was only... More

Quite a few reviewers have referred to this's hotel being in a stately and historic building but it being in need of some tlc. Sadly it is long past that stage. It is a massive pile in what was no doubt once a magnificent building. The hotel is greatly in need of total refurbishment. Our room was two singles which... More

This is a very faded but ultimately quite charming beast of a palatial hotel right in the middle of town. Go for the experience of gilded chairs, monogrammed carpets and a breakfast room with a retracting roof! Our room was very high ceilinged 2 tier: ground floor sitting room bathroom & TV, up a rather steep flight of stairs to... More
