Our tour company recommend this hotel mainly for the great location. We opted for air conditioning. Toured the hotel and was impressed by location and staff. Would stay there if hot weather was not an issue.

I stayed at Imparatul Romanilor twice. In every occasion the staff was really nice. The breakfast is, i believe, for every taste. The pool is really nice, you have sauna as well for relaxing moments. Maybe someone will find the WI-FI signal a little week but this was not an issue, as i was in vacation. The hotel is very close... More

Some of the not so good reviews on this property made us skeptical before arrival. After spending two nights there I wonder if some of the "bad" reviews were written by real travelers or by concealed competition in a town which seems to have a great number of hotels. In reality this is a grand hotel in a grand location.... More

This was our second time here. We love this hotel. The staff is very nice and more than helpful. This time we tried the spa. Our kids had a lot of fun. That night there had been a wedding in the hotel but we haven't heard a thing! For the cons I guess that if you want to search for... More

I was skeptical about this hotel due to some negative reviews here. We were pleasantly surprised in several ways. First of all, obviously it's in a great location. Secondly, the room was huge! Really high ceilings, big windows, a million closets/cabinets. There was air conditioning, so although the street was noisy on Friday night, the a/c drowned out the noise.... More

This is a vast Belle Epoque hotel a few metres from Sibiu's central squares. It lobby and dining room look as though one might run into a group of Hapsburg empire archdukes passing the time so little appears to have changed! We were upgraded without asking to a suite with a living room, spare beds and two bathrooms - though... More

The hotel is located in a perfect location in the old centre. It is in easy walking distance to all attractions in that part of town. Also, just around the corner is a very impressive coffee shop. The hotel was starting to show its age when we were there and was in need of maintenance. Having said that our room... More

The hotel has rates way too high for what it offers. From the architectural point of view this hotel is an unpolished gem. The room was spacious but the is furniture very old and dusty. Not very clean (especially the bathroom).Ventilation was not functional and the electrical installation looks like it was not finalized. Very old windows and hard to... More

This is a nice hotel right in the center of the city. It's heyday was definitely a generation or two ago. However this just adds to the charm. The breakfast was great and there was a large selection. The rooms feel old fashioned, it's sort of like a more realistic version of the Grand Budapest Hotel and gives you that... More

The hotel is a bit outdated, especially the rooms, but who need to stay in when you go in this beautiful city. The breakfast is ok and also the food ordered a la carte. The huge advantage is the location, only few minutes away of the main city attraction. I think is a destination for all seasons. Overall we had... More
