This hostel is so welcoming that I was genuinely sad when we were leaving (even though another really nice destination was waiting for us). The owner Nelu is a really nice guy who helps you as much as he can but is also in for just a nice chat, often very interesting by the way. The hostel is beautifully decorated... More

The story behind this quaint hostel is a little tragic. From what I understand, the owners are a Romanian/Irish husband and wife and from what I remember, they used to run the establishment as a restaurant, after dispensing a lot of time, money, blood, sweat and tears restoring it. Details like stripping the paint on the window frames to bring... More

This hostel is run by an Irish/Romanian couple and provided the best elements of both cultures in their welcome. We felt like friends in a very short time and the other guests joined in with the friendly atmosphere. The hostel was nicely restored and comfortable with lots of nice touches, not to mention decent coffee and granola in the morning... More

This is a simple hostel round a little courtyard in central Sibiu, but close to bus and rail stations. It is owned and run by a friendly and helpful young local man who has an Irish wife - so his English is fluent. Off-season the place is great but the shared facilities would be insufficient if there were more than,sday,10... More

The hostel is very well located, attractive, comfortable and the owners couldn't be more hands on, friendly and helpful. Slept like babies! Great book swop and fresh watermelon juice. The fresh homemade granola breakfast is a treat and the coffee is 2nd to none. We had a very enjoyable stay and left as friends.

I have traveled Europe for many backpacking trips and this place is probably one of the best I stayed at! The family running it was really friendly and helpful! The breakfast was excellent, one evening the cooked soup, really tasty and good! The dorms and common areas was good, the best was the outdoor yard! They both helped out with... More

OK, there are some downsides to this hostel. A tiny kitchen, very hot at night (on hot summer days at least) and kreaking floors. But the charm of this place, is unmatched. The owner is very friendly and helpfull and the hostel creates a very social relaxed atmosphere. A definite recommendation if you are backpacking to Sibiu.

We spent some days in that hostel, so its not just a one-moment sight. The hostel is in a quiet street. They have a nice café-area, were you can read books, dring coffee (5LEI) and have your includes breakfast (cereals with yogurt and 1 coffee). The interior is very elegant. First impression is positive. But after some days you see... More

Stayed here in the dorms for two nights. The staff (Tom and Robert) were very friendly (the owners left the country for their vacation when I reached there) and providing all of the information on what's going on in the city. The kitchen, dining area and batroom are very away, so the night sleep was good and comfortable. Closer to... More

I slept here two nights with a friend and I have no regrets. The hostel is just behind the city centre and it's easy to find your way to. The staff were friendly and informed us several times about the hotspots in and around the city; which also were great to see. On the terrace in the garden(!) all guests... More
