We were extremely pleased with our choice of the Modus Hotel. It's location is superb, just a few minutes walk from both the beach and the pedestrian mall. I recommend Modus without hesitation. A small group of us arrived in Varna a week before summer season started but found a lot to do in this fine beach town. the hotel was a great homebase. Lovely women working the front desk and always willing to lend a hand. smiles abound. very quiet despite being on a fairly busy street.... more

The mOdus Hotel is a very modern and stylish boutique hotel right in the city center of Varna. The hotel is something you would expect say in Barcelona, but certainly not in Varna - all black marble, spotlights, designer furniture, etc. All in all, I would give the hotel 4.5 stars based on Western European standards. We stayed at the Modus for three nights. The rooms were modern, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was good. We had dinner in the bistro on one of the nights and everyone in our group enoyed their meal, although it is a bit more expensive than other restaurants in Varna.
