I have stayed there for the New Years' Eve. This is a good 4-star hotel meeting the standards of the Golden Tulip hotel chain. Large clean rooms. The hotel is not far from the city center - about 5 mins walk. At the basement you will find a restaurant Pivovarna (like Varna brewery but has nothing to do with it)...

The Golden Tulip in Varna easily upholds this chain's standards for its 4-star "business class" properties. Clean, well-appointed rooms with modern fixtures. Within easy walking distance of the cathedral and shopping areas. For beach-going tourists in this large port city, accommodations much closer to the water would be far more convenient. Adequate breakfast buffet, but uninspired without much variety. Would...

Was part of a group traveling bulgaria. Excellent hotel and facility. It is in the center so not for beach goers.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. In order not to repeat information already given in previous reviews let me add:
- Lobby is small
- Free internet in business center (1st floor, 1 computer)
- Very nice room for non-smokers (8th floor, facing cathedral)
- No tourist brochures with city map (out of them)
- Tasty breakfast (just OK)

I have spent several days in Golden Tulip Varna in the end of August 2010. It is a relatively new 4-star-hotel with 85 rooms and 5 apartments - built in 2003 and was formerly known as Business Hotel Varna (before joining the Golden Tulip chain in the beginning of 2006). The hotel has a great location - it is situated...

I felt the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. When I asked for information about Varna, the reception staff pulled out a complimentary map and showed us routes and checked local bus information for us. There is a business complex on the first floor with free internet use - just ask to use...

Writing from the hotel room - 8th floor and will stay here for one week. I didn't look at other hotels because my meetings are happening here and the price was very good. The room, lobby etc are very big and spotless. There are not a lot of luxury paintings on the walls or flat screen tv and so on...

The hotel advertises itself as a business hotel and claims that it was built in 2003 which seems unlikely if one looks at the very dull and old fashioned furniture in the rooms . The rooms lack internet which is only available in the rather small lobby. My room had a rather dirty carpet that I was reluctant to walk...
