This place is almost impossible to find if you are driving, but worth the effort. A quaint hotel in a superb location. Out the door and you are in the heart of old Plovdiv. A walk up the hill to some fine restaurants and Plovdiv panorama. Only downside is the bed and wifi in the bedroom ...

Hotel Boris Palace is superbly located in the beautiful old quarter of Plovdiv. The hotel is wonderfully decorated and furnished, and Boris himself, the proprietor, was absolutely charming - even though we arrived late in the evening. Although we were only there for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed it. If you go to Plovdiv, go to Hotel Boris Palace, it's... More

The place with the sound name HOTEL is situated just at the main street of the Old city. This is the only positive thing we noticed from this guesthouse - it is location which is perfect! Rooms are small and bathrooms are even smaller. Lot of dust in rooms - pictures on a walls, lampshades, chair hacks. Breakfast is minimal... More

Stayed for two nights after arriving late evening. Friendly. Accommodating. Happy to cook full meal although I had arrived around 10pm. Boris is cool and I found more than happy to help and accomodate. Hotel has a lovely old worldly feel centred conveniently in the old town. Out on the back terrace, you have a splendid view of Plovdiv. You... More

Although the hotel has a great location in the old city of Plovdiv, it felt like staying in something like a prison or just if there is one place where you can feel the unfairness in this world that's it. We were given cheaper room than the one we paid for. At breakfast we were denied to have breakfast on... More

We had a wonderful family event organized at Boris Palace by thoughtful and attentive parents who wanted to celebrate the christening of their lovely daughter at Boris Palace restaurant. Beautiful venue in a historic town that should generate much European and world attention. Rightfully so. Everything was fine and lovely until Mr. Boris himself spoiled the evening with his rude... May 2014: We are regular travellers to Bulgaria, in particular Pamporovo, staying in our ski rental apartment 17 Pine Lodge but had never visited Plovdiv. We did some research and booked this hotel for 1 night to have a look around the old city of Plovdiv. We liked it so much we stayed another night. Very nice hotel, gorgeous views... More

We enjoyed 2 nights at the Boris our rooms were spacious, clean, nice view, and luxuriously appointed. The owner Boris is a very charming fellow and was always at hand to assist. We had dinner upon the terrace both nights and enjoyed the experience immensely, along with the views of the Old Town, Restaurant, Piano Bar and all public areas... More

The hotel itself is charming, small, and has a really nice atmosphere. It doesn't have parking, and as it's placed in the middle of Plovdiv's Old Town, expect heavy boulders your car should climb on, and parking on a steep street. I definitely don't recommend if you don't have 4x4 or if you are not experienced driver. Burnt clutch smells... More
