Taso Guest House was great, and Taso himself is great. He was really helpful. I would recommend the tour he provides-- it left great memories, and also the restaurant that he recommends near the bridge.

First of all the location is just perfect, just few meters from the wonderful historical centre of Mostar, which is probably the best town in the world as well as Guesthouse Taso is. Everything you can wish: clean bathroom with constant hot shower, small but well equipped kitchen and comfortable common area. The rooms are simple but offer just as... More

Fantastic hostel! Taso is really friendly and helpful, even picked us up from the train station. Would definitely recommend staying here and doing his day tour around the area. He was really open and honest about his experience of the war and introduced us to delicious Borek! The guest house was small, clean and homely, with a nice communal area... More

We found this place by chance with my girlfriend and there was enough room for the two of us left, so we didn't had any time to research and read reviews, however we were happily surprised by this lovely guest house. Taso and his family are very open, helpful and welcoming. It's great for meeting backpackers from all around and... More

It was a stormy evening as we approached Mostar in our car, and as we were cruising along Marshala Tita, one of the more prominent streets cutting through the heart of the city, we were feeling apprehensive. The streets were empty, and war-battered buildings were dotting the street. To make matters worse, as the guesthouse itself stated on its website,... More

Every time before I make hostel bookings, I will check if there is any bad references from other travellers, reviews were all great in hostelworld was all great so I gave a try. The way from the bus or the train station is a straight road, about 10min you'll reach the house, which the entrance looks a bit strange like... More

I was travelling solo through the Balkans and booked in for a night at Taso's place after a recommendation from a fellow backpacker in Budva. I instantly felt welcome as I was picked up at the bus station by Taso himself. I ended up staying for a few days but it wasn't enough. The tour of Hercegovina was phenomenal. Taso... More

Why this hostel is so highly rated is far beyond me. Perhaps if you are seeking a male dominated, pompous enviroment attempting to create a pseudo party atmosphere in a quiet, quaint town than this is the spot for you. If you enjoy thd club seen at the end of the night when the bar is filled with male wolves,... More
