I have stayed in this hostel twice now and would certainly go back for the warm and welcoming vibes. This place is a true home away from home and not a 'party hostel' but a place to relax and make conversation over tea and music with a cat on your lap.

Now I use the term "best" with a grain of salt. My experience with Majda's Hostel is this: it was raining and an otherwise miserable afternoon in Mostar. We came from the bus station and after ringing at the gate, were immediately welcomed with warm tea and coffees, cookies, hugs, and a friendly and family atmosphere. Other hostelers had just... I've stayed at many hostels and majdas is clearly one of the best! Great layout, spotlessly clean, best breakfast I ever had at hostel. Majda treats every customer like a guest at her home. I've been there many times and aim happy to go back to majdas whenever I can. I normally do not like tours but make sure to... More

I came to Mostar last minute and didn't regret my stay at all. I stayed at hostel Majdas, which was easy to locate from the train station. The staff are incredible, real down to earth people, who are helpful and are never elusive. I recommend this hostel to anyone, it's so good, that I'm planning visit again this summer. Bosnia... Majda is just the best. You can tell she enjoys meeting travellers and goes above and beyond in hosting them. The hostel is very clean and well located, the breakfasts are great. and Majda has all the answers to your questions. I had a really good time there and didn't want to leave.

I stayed her for four days in 2010, nearly 5 years ago, and still remember Majda's place with intense feelings of nostalgia from time to time. In fact this is why I am writing the review right now. I heard other backpackers raving about Majda's place when in Montenegro and was lucky enough to get a space last minute. Majda's... More

I had no idea what to expect in Bosnia but this is the best starting point you could wish for. The family were so friendly and hospitable offering food and drink all the time. The tour we took through Mostar with Bata was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Highly recommend both Mostar and Majdas

We booked ahead and spoke with Majdas to confirm our stay. When we arrived we were told she was out of beds in the hostel but would put us in a bungalow. This is a small musty shed type structure in the back of the property with a double bed, a single bed and a couch posing as a bed.... More

Thanks to Majdas and her brother Bata for the great time I had here. Beautifully decorated, homely hostel with tasty homemade breakfast included. Friendly kitten made the place extra homely. Best was the tour, I had such a great day, definintly one of the highlights of my trip and worth every penny and more. I laughed so much, saw some... More

Hostel owner is very rude and does not know how to behave himself...In fact was there when he physically threatened a guest and forced him to leave the property... I have no words and would not advice anybody to stay at this place....
