I had no idea what to expect in Bosnia but this is the best starting point you could wish for. The family were so friendly and hospitable offering food and drink all the time. The tour we took through Mostar with Bata was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Highly recommend both Mostar and Majdas

We booked ahead and spoke with Majdas to confirm our stay. When we arrived we were told she was out of beds in the hostel but would put us in a bungalow. This is a small musty shed type structure in the back of the property with a double bed, a single bed and a couch posing as a bed.... More

Thanks to Majdas and her brother Bata for the great time I had here. Beautifully decorated, homely hostel with tasty homemade breakfast included. Friendly kitten made the place extra homely. Best was the tour, I had such a great day, definintly one of the highlights of my trip and worth every penny and more. I laughed so much, saw some... More

Hostel owner is very rude and does not know how to behave himself...In fact was there when he physically threatened a guest and forced him to leave the property... I have no words and would not advice anybody to stay at this place....

This hostel was a very warm and welcoming place for our stay in Mostar. The hostel itself was well located, only a short walk from the old town and bridge as well as being a shorter walk to the train and bus stations. It's rooms were very clean and not too small, it's toilet and bathroom facilities were almost brand... More

If you love meeting new people and making friends in a comfortable, friendly environment with amazing hosts in a beautiful, historical city, then this hostel is for you :) My friend had stayed at this hostel 4 times, and told me I simply had to stay here. And she was right. Majda sends you a personal email confirming your stay... More

Very close to the Old town. When you arrive you're greeted with green tea and cake as you sign in. Breakfast was fantastic served outside. Great common room area with loads of couches to sit around in. Loads of showers and toilets and spacious bedrooms. There is a kitchen and good wifi and Batman the cat to entertain you.

Having spent a few weeks on the road at a time in the past few years, I've stayed in many hostels. But none could have prepared me for the incredible experience of staying at Hostel Majdas. We were welcomed with Bosnian cake and iced tea - no mention of money, as we had become accustomed to. Majdas and Hamid were... More

Hostel majdas is the best hostel we stayed in over 5 weeks of travelling. The atmosphere around the hostel is so friendly. Majda is so accommodating and the Bosnian coffee she and her mother make is fantastic. Batman the hose cat is also so much fun to play with! The showers at the hostel are rainfall showers and are always... More

I´ve been at Maida's for two night in August. It's a special family run hostel. They are very kind and close to any needs. Position is excellent, 5 minutes walk to train/bus station. Clean and cosy. A special mention to the trip they organize in the surrounding areas. Not to be missed if in Mostar!
