The room was on the small side, borderline clean, and overlooked an alley directly to another building. The night we stayed, it wasn't noisy until 8 AM, when hotel staff started making noise outside. There's very little to recommend it in particular, but equally little to complain about. It's alright, but I wouldn't give the address to my best friend. more

I was a little iffy about booking here after reading a couple of reviews about noisiness here. maybe it was the location of my room, but i heard NO noise from bars, clubs, foottraffic, etc. the room was large, the accommodation pretty reasonable. i would recommend it. more

Hotel Marija was on a whim. Room 25. Magical views of the churchbells with a steep granite cliff as the backdrop. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms clean with cable. My husband myself and our 2 dtrs aged 15 and 10 stayed here on our final night in Montenegro and found it a very pleasant experience. The staff are friendly, kind and courteous . This is the second time we stayed at the Marija. I have already recommended it and would again to others. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern and clean. I like the breakfast. Restaurant has good dinners as well. The location is prime. The only issue is carrying or rolling luggage into the walled city to the hotel.... more

Having endured some gruesome hotels in other parts of the balkans it was great to find the marija. Well appointed, clean rooms in a beautiful setting (and no problems with the noise), friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts. go to kotor and stay there before everyone else discovers this beautiful town... more
