Hotel very nice for what we paid, most reviews i read gave 3/5 so i was very pleasantly suprised to find the hotel so much better. Right from the approach to the hotel you get an idea of the hotel's size, its huge as is the lobby, which has a nice indoor and outdoor seated bar we spent after evenings... more

PROs Prices are cheap, from 40 € for a double in med-hi season, 5 minutes walk from the beach (place on the beach included). Very good and rich breakfast, many restaurants and cafes nearby, an incredibly never crowded luxury restaurant on 16th floor with popular prices! CONs The beach is always very crowded and it needs to wake up very... more

We spent six nights in Hotel Yalta from July 25. The 15th floor room was fine but on the small side. The balcony had a wonderful view of Yalta Bay and the surrounding woods. There are 1100 rooms with plenty of bars and activities. There was even a dolphin show 3 times a day (did not make it). Breakfast was... more

My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel Yalta in May for 5 days, and we had a very nice experience there. Keeping in mind that 4 or 5 star hotel ratings are different in the old eastern-bloc countries than in the west, I must say that this hotel was very nice. The hotel itself is huge, over 1,200 rooms,... more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. On first sight it is horrendous, a big concrete monstrosity. However the rooms are fine if small and the plumbing works. It is an interesting place to people watch in one of the many bars. Service is erratic, sometimes you eat in a restaurant and it is Ok, the next night a friend... more

The hotel has exceeded our expectation. We stayed for 8 days in July and found the hotel ok, it's old but the rooms (on 8th floor at least) were newly refurbished and had everything we needed, shower, tv, aircon, fridge. The hotel is a massive concrete structure and has over one thousand rooms, all rooms have balconies with nice view... more

Stayed at this hotel as part of a travelsphere tour of yalta. It is HUGE, it has 17 floors. It has an enormous lobby area, coffee bar, 24hr bar, dining room (food very nice) plenty of shops, bars outside, lovely gardens, a long pebbly beach with stalls for drinks etc. The rooms are nice too with huge balconies & a... more

I stayed at the Hotel Yalta from 30 December through to 2 January. I went there specifically for the New Years Eve party they had planned and the trip was a treat for my Ukrainian girlfriend (it was actually her idea to go there). We had a junior suite, which is actually just two room with the dividing door left... more

Well, before taking ths trip someone told me Yalta was the Hawaii of the former Soviet Union. I had no idea they were right. This plce is absolutely amazing. THere is a ton of things to do and culture to expereince in this wonderful city. There is really only one commercialized area (the Boardwalk) and the rest is unspoiled. The... more
