A small hotel located on the peninsular west of the old city. There is a swimming beach immediately outside. The bus to Zadar (10 mins) is nearby. There is a restaurant on the ground floor and two floors of rooms most with good sea views. No elevator, but staff carried the bags up and down. Staff were very friendly and... more

This hotel offers a very good service for reasonable price. Downturns were the distance to the city center and the quite stony beach in front. Otherwise the restaurant is very good, the breakfast very good, the rooms very spacious and clean. Good hotel. The renovation works are over by the way. more

This hotel is ok. A bit far from the city centre (over 30 minutes walk), though this area has some interest and there seem to be a number of hotels nearby. Decor is acceptable but a bit dated. The room, however, was clean, and shower good. There is no lift, and no assistance to lift luggage up the stairs. Breakfast... more

Stayed in mid-June 2009. The hotel was not fully open and was undergoing renovation. We weren't affected at all by the work. The room was very nice - traditional style. Perfectly clean and well looked after with good balcony. Staff were nice and friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was 10 out of 10 - one of the best we've ever... more

We had been recommended Hotel Niko which is in a quiet area of Zadar by the sea and overlooks the old town. Its main draw is its resturant which is favoured by locals...that says it all. When we booked we were disappointed to learn that the resturant was undergoing 'restoration' but they hoped it would be finished by the time... more

We spent a week in Zadar last month and stayed at the Hotel Niko and ate every night in their wonderful restaurant. Staff were first class, friendly and spoke English. (Wanted to take "our" waiter Josef home with us but had to settle for him agreeing to come to England and we would show him London!) Food great. Very comfortable... more

This hotel is unusual in that it looks like it is only a restaurant but has great hotel rooms above. There is free parking out front. The room was a good size, air conditioned and with a balcony overlooking the sea. There was free internet in the room. Beware that hotels in Croatia do not have any facial tissue like... more

After booking a last minute holiday to Zadar I read a review of the city in the Guardian Newspaper which recomended the hotel Niko, so booked direct with the hotel. From the start to finish our stay in Niko was a plearsure, they even arranged our transfer from the airport. Arrving at the hotel the exterior of the hotel gave... more

After a few days at Plitvice Lakes, we made it to Zadar and checked into Hotel Niko right before dinner time. It was relatively easy to find once we made it through the "city part." The outside of the establishment doesn't look impressive, but once you walk in, it 's another world. Our views from the room were gorgeous and... more
