Villa Valentina is a good place to stay for a short break in Zadar. It is located in a quiet, residential area and is about a 45 miinute walk to the Old Town. The beach is about a 10 minute walk (concrete/pine--no sand, but this is common in Croatia). The room was clean, with a comfy bed and great AC... More

Excellent, good value appartment. Croatia is great, especially it's national parks . Both hotel and area highly recommended. Very friendly people. Inexpensive food, good driving manners and amazing scenery.

I'll get the two (not terrible) negatives out of the way first: no elevator and hard to find. Just ask the hotel for specific directions before you come. And the elevator situation was easily remedied by our resourceful host, who simply suggested we just bring what we'd need overnight (we only stayed one night) up the 3-4 floors. That worked... More

The hotel is in a quiet residential area. If you don't have a car it is a bit of a drag to get anywhere but there is a bus service in about 10minutes walk. We had a car so it was not a problem otherwise one would be fairly trapped. The bathroom was tiny. I had to climb over the... More

We stopped in Zadar on the way to Dubrovnik. Although we only stayed 1 night we would come back to Villa Valentina for longer stay. The place is central to all Zadar attractions and they have a special deal with a local taxi company...flat rate of 40 Kuna to go anywhere including the Old Town. The room was impeccably clean,... If you are looking for a nice apartment, close to the beach in Zadar, it is a very good choice. The rooms would probably need a bit of refreshing in decor but are spacious and offer fabulous views of the bay or the area. it takes about 10 min to get to the beach, easy to drive from the airport.... after reading the glowing reports, it was with nervous anticipation that we arrived hotfoot from the airport after a seemless transfer organised by ana to be warmly greeted by the lady herself! in an instant we were at total ease and loving the valentina experience.our room was perfect, pre booked trips(plitvice and kornati islands) confirmed as requested and so on... The lady at the desk was very pleasant. She asked us what our plans were the following day when we checked out & we told her we had to get a bus to Split. So she offered to organise a private driver at a very reasonable cost. Rooms were better than expected. Breakfast was also better than expected. Great value... More
