If you like unusual places to stay we would thoroughly recommend you stay here. It is an amazing atmospheric place to spend the night and very central. It is an Austro-Hungarian palace full of grandeur and austere character and has an empty rather chilling presence - we hardly saw anyone. You are greeted by a wide entrance hall with a... More

This hotel was exactly as I expected thanks to the accurate trip advisor reviews. Built in 1909, this crumbling listed gem was a real joy. The balcony windows from the 4th floor had an incredible view of the harbour with evening light shows on the cranes; thousands of birds gather in the trees in a small park below at dusk... More

The lobby area is nice.as the hotel is part of the national patrimony. The room is poor decorated. My room was situated on the 5th floor and it was very warm. They have fan instead of Air Conditioning and it is not enough. The renovation of the hotel has nothing to do with the amenities that are missing and the poor... More

This hotel is so convenient and wonderfully close to the pula city centre. My boyfriend and I stayed here for the outlook festival and if we ever came again, we would truly recommend it. Outlook pick up and drop buses are 24/7 and a 5 min walk from hotel! 11 kunas each way per person is recommended as opposed to... More

This guesthouse is extremely close to the city center of Pula and the bus station is just 5 minutes away so i have to say is quiet handy for the position. The receptionists are extremely friendly and helpful all of the always available to help you. especially the gentleman used to be there in the morning shift. I think paying... More

I stayed here as a stopover before I flew back to London and in an age of Marriots and bleached hotels, this place is just lovely. The building itself is a monolithic art nouveau from the early 20th century. The interior resembles the movie The Shining' but in a good way;) the balcony of te resturant is just breathtaking and... I'm struggling to come up with at least one positive thing about this hotel... The building hosting this hotel is beautiful. It dates back to 1906 and was erected of course by Austrians. It is an art-nouveau bilding with amazing façades and spacious rooms. But it is so neglected! Rooms are totally worn out and need an immediate overhaul. There's... More

The Riviera is in a beautiful old building, gone to seed, which is unfortunately hidden now by trees so you can't see the façade well. Inside it is rather gloomy and has undergone seval make-unders since its Hapsburg heyday, resulting in a post-communist budget lodging. This also adds to its 'charm' but is probably not to everyone's taste. Our room... More

Huge rooms with a view (if you are high enough), great location and spotless bathrooms make up for the lousy mattresses. Breakfast was very nice but it's a crying shame that the lighting in the breakfast room reminds you more of a train station the pretty room it could really be. Little touches could do wonders for this place so... More

Nice old hotel on a perfect location with a nice view from the sea side rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated, but the location of the hotel compensates a lot. Breakfast is also good. Overall good hotel for a fair price.
